Last year on the NCL Jewel I went to the art auction while my wife went to the spa with our friends. They gave out the usual raffle tickets and i sat till the end. Well holy smoke at the end the mc calls the numbers and i win a huge 42 x 34 Blumenthal lithograph framed and all i paid was $51 shipping. The bad news was that the art company went bankrupt and and it took over 4 months for the new company to send the picture. It now sits on our bedroom wall and the colors match the wallpaper perfectly.

The first time we ever sailed on the Regent (at that time Radisson) Seven Seas Mariner, it was August 2001, her inauguaral season to Alaska.

Our first night on board I dragged my husband to the Casino. I had him pick the slot machine. Before we had used our first $20, we won the progressive slot for over $3500. It paid for all our activities and part of the cruise too!

A great way to start our first cruise ever. We couldn't get near that slot machine for the rest of the time we were on board.

We win every time we sail with RSSC, but this was our "biggest" jackpot to date.

The last two cruises we went on (Carnival in 04 and Princess in 05) I won enough in the casino to more than pay for the entire cruise. Mostly blackjack but I did win a slot tourney on the Princess ($500). I would usually play about an hour each night. Just for fun really but hey, the extra money doesn't hurt either.

md,

can I sit next to you in the casino on your next cruise??? Maybe some of that luck will wear off. My husband is the luckier of us and we played in a casino up in Niagra Falls, Ontario and one night we lost $15 and the night before we left, we played $25 and won it back. We exchanged it for American dollars.

On a Carnival Caribbean cruise in 04 my mom and I both won on quarter and nickel slots. We each put in $5.00 and my mom hit $125 before spending her orginial $5.00, I on the other hand played only 50 cents and won $85.00! Since I was barely 21 and being my first slot experience I was overly excited! I now never leave a cruise without playing something!!! :D

In May my mom won $5000 at the slot machines on the Norwegian Spirit. Well, actually she won more than $6000, but she put about $1000 back. Since the cruise was her Mother's Day/birthday present, she ended up way ahead. She is now enjoying her new furnace/central air.

A few years ago I won $1 Million Fake Dollars playing "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" on the Norwegian Sun. The game was played seriously, and I was the first contestant. I recieved an oversized "check" (like you see lottery winners holding). I displayed the check in my stateroom and the steward was very excited for my good fortune. I'm not sure if she ever did understand the "Fake" part, even though we tried to explain it to her a number of times. I still have the check as a wonderful souvenier.:D

Michelle,

We did Celebrity Zenith to Bermuda. You didn't leave on Oct 11, 2003, did you? IF so you were on my cruise. First night out we went through a tropical storm. You would remember that one.

No I went April of 03

I have had some luck with the slots.

On the Princess Dawn a few years ago I was playing the nickle slots (for the first time) and hit $4000.00 on a Diamond Ring machine. The I Dream

of Jeannie macine was also a good payoff on that cruise. Never had any nickle machines pay off after that.

On the HAL Zuiederdam I hit the $1 Wheel of Fortune for $1000. That was a trip I had earned through my work. So came out good with that one.:)

Watched mom hit a $2100 royal flush on quarter video poker on Carnival Valor a couple years back...the machines had only been turned on for like an hour. she gave me, my wife, my sister and her husband each $100 then gave the rest back to Carnival over the next 7 days :)

The paytables are so bad now on cruise Video Poker that I don't even bother. Still love the BJ and Stud though...but no big wins for me yet.

I won $360 dollars on the roulette table BUT it wasnt my money i bet with.......

It was our last night of a 3 week cruise and we had tipped our cocktail waitress $20 for our last drinks and gone onto the Casino, about a half hour later the waitress turned up to work the bar in the casino and she served us at the bar, we chatted and she slid the $20 over the bar and said " put this on the table for me?"... Cheeky minx, but she was lovely so i obliged. She hadnt said which numbers so i split the bet into two 10s and a 20 ........

The TWENTY came in and i'd won the $360 dollars which wasnt mine , so what did i do now , i couldnt carry on playing with money that wasnt mine so i grabbed the winings and ran!

Then i had the problem of giving the winnings to the waitress who as you will know would have been sacked on the spot for what she had done , so i didnt dare hand her the money there and then.

I had to go back to my cabin, out the winnings in an envelope and write on it " thanks for the service" i then gave it to her as a " tip"...... Not bad eh , she actually got a $360 tip out of our original $20!

I would like to add that she demanded that we keep the winnings because she was scared silly about loosing her job but i think we found a safe way to get it to her.

Spring break 2007 kids won the scavenger hunt on the Diamond Princess.

Kept them busy the whole cruise looking for items. Even took a white sock and used a marker to color it red. Ended up with the most items on the list and won a huge bag of stuff. It had the game scategories and bottle of champagne, couple pens, couple small purses and lots of other stuff. The kids had a great time.
