SugarFreeSheila Posted October 7, 2005 #57 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Whenever I drop by the casino on a cruise, it's only once and for about 15 minutes at the slots. But one time, I won $200. We ended up leaving it in an envelope for our female room steward. It was our honeymoon, so we were in a good mood. :)
Chucksta63 Posted October 8, 2005 #58 Share Posted October 8, 2005 I won a couple of hundred but gave it back during the cruise...lol Free playing money the whole time the way I look at it. So here is a Question, Did you win at the begining of the cruise or the end? I think the odds change during the week. The odds are better in the begining 2 days to get you hooked then they change more for the house.. What do you think?

goldmom Posted October 20, 2005 #60 Share Posted October 20, 2005 Our last three cruises, I have won at the end of our cruise. It seemed like it was when my casino "mad money" stash was almost gone and would have had to hit hubby up for extra cash. Won $1000 on the Cat and Mouse penny machine on the Carnival Legend. Then, on the QM2 won $3300 on a nickel machine. Don't remember the name of the machine, but it had these scratch off lottery tickets. On our most recent trip on the NCL Dawn, I hit a $500 spin on the dollar Wheel of Forture. Anyway, DH was very happy for me as he didn't need to advance me any casino cash! DougYWG Posted October 21, 2005 #61 Share Posted October 21, 2005 ...another cruise. We were on Navigator of the Seas over Xmas and I won the bingo grand prize. DW was quite teed off because she wanted to cruise the med this summer. She swallowed her disappointment and we did Adventure in August. Loved it. Med next year? TSCOTT Posted October 22, 2005 #62 Share Posted October 22, 2005 I won $350 aboard the Constellation about 4 years ago. While my hubby was napping one day, I decided to try my luck on the slots and won!
lydiaw86 Posted October 29, 2005 #63 Share Posted October 29, 2005 We were on the Truimph on 11/1/03 sailing and on our last night on the cruise with my last 20 bucks we played bj and in just 2 shoes me and DH won about 2300. It took us about 15 minutes, that was almost the exact amount we brought for the cruise in spending money. It was so great!;)

cruizinrican Posted November 7, 2005 #66 Share Posted November 7, 2005 I love to play roulette (sp?) so I took what cash I had left from the safe which was $400 and plunked it all down on black (after studying the odds for a few minutes). The dealer spun the wheel and it hit black and I won $800 in a matter of minutes!!! It was the easiest money I ever earned!;) Next stop was St. Thomas and I bought myself and DH matching Movado watches with MY winnings! It felt good! I love to throw down a hundred dollar bill on a color as we pass the casino, it is addicting!:) Cruizinrican

parrothead60450 Posted December 19, 2005 #71 Share Posted December 19, 2005 A few years ago I came out $5,500.00 ahead. This was between the casino in San Juan, the casino on the boat, and the casinos at Aruba. I paid our expenses off for the trip which included a good bit of art, and we spent about $2,500.00 on jewelry when we hit St. Thomas. Winning makes for an enjoyable cruise. CruzAllNight Posted December 19, 2005 #72 Share Posted December 19, 2005 So do you still have to declare these winnings as income when you get back to the US? Or since you won them in int'l waters its tax free?

seaelf Posted December 22, 2005 #75 Share Posted December 22, 2005 $5260....video poker progressive jackpot on HAL Westerdams 2005, Thanksgiving cruise to the Caribbean. It was 10 coins max bet to qualify for progressive jackpot, 25 cent progressive. That's a huge progressive for a 25 cent video poker progressive, even though it was 10 coins max bet to qualify. Leaving today for HAL Oosterdam Xmas cruise to the Mexican Riviera. I hope to do it again. Happy Holidays, Seaelf
