MsKitty,

My sister in law has several Lladro figurines, so I know what you are referring to. Awww.....your hubby's nice. We'll be married 27 yrs later this year. To DavidNDC: $200 is more than you came on board with, Don't discredit your winnings! My hubby spent $12 to win his $337. I spent more. I just credit myself with asking him to chose of the 3 machines in that corner. He chose the winning one.

We're going on the NCL Star in two weeks and I hope it's true about NCL slots being lose!! We took Celebrity's Millenium in the Med. 10/04 and I hit the "Pigs" quarter slot machine for $1,000. I was a very happy cruiser. It was at the beginning of a 14 day cruise so the money covered all my casino fun for the cruise. :) Fun to play with their money. On a RCCL cruise I got to split a slot tounament jackpot for a couple hundred and got a t-shirt. When our daughter was 10 on an Alaskan Princess cruise she hit bingo for $600. I'd say we've had an overall lucky experience with shipboard gambling. Hope to win in 2 weeks. :)

The only thing my DH won was on our 25th Wedding anniversary cruise [ Grand Princess] he marked the wrong numbers off the card, and when they were checked, and the cd saw that they were wrong, he made him sit for the rest of the session with a dunce hat on his head!!! LOL :o [ still have not won anything to this day!!]

We won another cruise while on Princess! It was the inaugural year of one of their ships and ten lucky cabin numbers were drawn at the Capt's Farewell Party on the final Formal Night.

And it wasn't for a shorty cruise either... but for a 15-day Panama Canal cruise in a mini-suite!

Pretty exciting and a wonderful cruise to look forward to the next year :-)

I won a cruise at bingo on Carnival on the last day of our cruise on the Paradise.. It was by far the biggest thing I had ever won. When I got up on the stage I found out there was a nother winner so they made us pick a bingo ball and the highest one got the whole enchalada. You guessed it. It was not me!! I got a bottle of champagne instead. Talk about celebrity. Everywhere I went on tht ship for the rest of the cruise people were stopping me to tell me they thought I got robbed!! Oh well, what do you do.

We were on the Millennium in January. On the first night(right after the casino opened) I stopped in on my way to dinner and won $1000 on a slot machine. After the show I stopped back and won $720 playing 3 card poker. The next day was the blackjack tournament and I won that too! I've never had a luckier streak in my life:)

I have won on 3 different cruises. Fist was on the old carnival Jubilee a few years ago. I hit for a progressive jackpot on the poker slots and won $1653, then on the Carnival Destiny I won $1000 on the slots. Last August I on $2500 on the Navigator of the Seas on the slots. You might think i'm a big gambler but I'm not...I only allow myself $20 per day to gamble with. I have been very lucky! I've been to Vegas three times and NEVER won a thing...LOL I am sticking to cruiseships.

My friend won $500 at the Slot Tournament on the Dawn Princess last week while in Alaska. I won $250 on the wheel of fortune. Talked to the slot tech before I started playing and he was a great help with picking a good machine. I guess it pays to ask!

We're not "winners" and, until this cruise, had never won a thing (lucky in love, I guess:) ). Went to see a TA for a cheap vacation. She sold us on the Norway in a good, big room. Then the Norway blew up . Changed to a Wind cruise a month later, and with a credit, were able to book a guarantee window. Got our papers 2 weeks before the cruise to find out we were in a balcony-less suite. We were thrilled! Floor-to-ceiling window, amenities (champagne waiting in room, etc.), and lots of room. Went to casino as we always do before dinner with a roll of quarters each. Our rule is, we spend it - we lose, we win - we cash in. I hit $100 right off, as did DH. Into the safe it went. Next night, I won $700 on first 5 quarters. Safe. Won $100 every day - me or DH or both - on the same machines. Ended up over $1100 in winnings - what we paid for the cruise :D! Told others and THEY won on them. We started putting the money on our Sign & Sail account, paid cash for all our port purchases, came home with all the money we brought and paid off most of our S&S. I have to say, it was the best cruise we've been on even tho we always get a decent upgrade and have a great time no matter what happens.

On the Viking Serenade 3 day cruise about 10 years ago I won $500 each night of the 3 night cruise playing Craps. The trip only cost me about $1200 including airfare for me and my wife. So I paid for the whole trip and had a few bucks left over. Not a bad trip at all.

There was one other story. They sometimes take your picture if you win several hundred bucks on a slot. I was with my wifes uncle and we were looking at the pics and noticed alot of them were taken in front of the same machine. We spent a while trying to figure out which one it was and we found it. I put in $20 bucs and was shortly rewarded with $240. It was late and I went to bed.

Next morning I walked past the picture wall and saw a new picture......yes you guessed it, my wife's uncle standing in front of that machine.... he had won $900 about an hour after I went to bed!

Oh well, Still had fun!

We were on the Nieuw Amsterdam several years ago and I was playing the video poker machines while my wife was at the slots, she got bored so she sat next to me a the poker machines. On her second hand she hit a royal flush for $1000. I gave up and went to the blackjack table. About 1/2 hour later I hear a slot machine go off and look over to see my wife looking over the top of it looking for me. She had just won another $500.00. She immediately left for the shops on board and got the diamond earings she had been looking at the entire cruise.

My hubby was taking a nap one afternoon on a sea day on the Mercury. I decided to go to the casino, out of boredom. I played the quarter slots for about 15 minutes and won $350.00!!!! When I came back to the cabin hubby was awake. I told him I was lucky in the casino and handed it to him a fifty at a time. He said " I loooooooooooove you" :) I said while he was lazing around, I was out getting us more money to spend on our cruise!

Some friends of ours were on a ONE NIGHT cruise with us last fall. He was sayng he lost $1,800.00 in the casino on his 10 ngiht Mexico cruise a couple months before. On this cruise he won over $2,000.00!

Wife and I sailed on a Carnival Ship about 8 years ago when you setteled your sail and sign when leaving. We were paying with Visa card but disputed a charge on our bill.(total was around $600) cause it was our first 7 day cruise and tried to be conservative. Well the charge never made it to our bill. What are the odds on that ever happening again.

Wife did win around $1000 playing Let it Ride last year. Had a couple Full houses and flushes in about 40 minutes of playing. paid nice odds on small bets.
