Thoughts and prayer

Wasn't it uplifting to see how the small village came to the rescue of the Costa passengers. And yes all the passenegers need our prayers as it must have been a devastating nightmare to abandon ship like that in the night. AS for the future of Costa, I have no idea what will become of the line. Time will tell

Well, it is owned by Carnival Corp. There's been quite a few issues with the cruiseline. Unless it's really profitable, perhaps Carnival may consider selling it off.

do you think that costa will or should go out of service after this incident.

Why? Airlines don't shut down after air crashes unless business goes way down and they falter. A lot more people have died in airplane crashes.

Um, no offense and not to make too much trouble, but do you think your prayers will actually help the passengers? And do you think the people who perished did so because of insufficient praying? Wouldn't sending a few bucks to an international relief organization like Oxfam in memory of the deceased passengers do a lot more tangible good?

Costa won't go out of business. It was a terrible accident with an inept Captain. It shouldn't have happened and hopefully charges and publicity will ensure the remainder of the fleet see better regulations and training.

But over all the industry is still decently regulated and there have been few accidents over the decades of this magnitude.

The line's other ships are operating and life moves on.

I don't see this as the knife that drove thru Costa's heart.

While you have a point with respect to monetary donation, I would point out that, yes, for the people who believe in the power of prayer, it might help. For those who might be of very limited means, prayer might be all they have to offer. And if that doesn't harm you or anyone else, what's the problem?
