Inviting visitors on board

I think I know the answer to this, but are we able to have visitors board the ship in a US port?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news - but the answer is no.

I do know that there have been exceptions made on the very rare occasion but I'm not sure how that was arranged and i don't think it is easy to do.

Sorry.

Sorry.

When we took a cruise on the Eurodam with our mutual friends from the inn, they had arranged through our TA before the cruise to have their family come aboard for a tour while the ship was docked here in Saint John. I was really surprised to hear that that could be arranged and, had we known in advance, we would have made the arrangement for our family as well.

Edited to say that I just noticed that the question referred to US ports.
