What is the earliest you can go to the pier in Manhattan?

Is there enough parking to go around, or if we are driving, do we need to wait for enough people to disembark to give us somewhere to park?

about 9 am and its never been reported as well and now that it increased to $35 per day...it should be less full

Last year we got to the pier at around 9 and had to park in a temporary lot until 10. Then they let us move over to our spot for the week. There were still lots of people leaving the ship and heading to their cars so 10 or later is probably fine.

It had me rethinking our plans, but the kids really want to stay at our Time Square hotel the night before the cruise, so we are still paying it. It makes the $16/night I used to think was high, quite low in comparison.

Since there are still people getting off the ship between 9 and 10, I wait a bit. Even if they let you in the terminal earlier you'll just have a longer wait to board. We've always arrived about 10:30 and found that the check in process at that time was very fast with no long lines.

We did 5 cruises from NY. Always arrive between 10-10.30 am. Never had to wait or look for the parking spot. We are sailing on Breakaway next November - with the price of parking going up will re-think parking at the port though.

You can get there at 9 AM, but what are you going to do from then until they start boarding at 11:30 or noon? The terminal is nice, but not that nice to sit for almost three hours.

We got to the pier at 11 AM, there is plenty of parking and we were on the ship by noon.

If you arrive after 1 PM, the check in lines are tremendously long, so get there before noon.
