Coffee pot in balcony room on Freedom???

Recommended Posts

I know there are coffee pots in JS and above on the ships, but does the Freedom have them in D3 balcony rooms?

Terri

The ensuite tea and coffee service is one of the JS enhancements so they will only be available to JS cabins and above.

A few dead presidents on the first day could maybe make that happen for you. YMMV.

It is amazing how much power those dead presidents continue to wield...;)

I actually like the coffee so much more in those silly little pouches than than the fresh stuff. I am a huge coffee drinker but the blend of Seattle's Best they are currently using is too strong for me. I so wish they'd team up with Dunkin' Donuts!

I hear you. We grind fresh beans each morning at home, and generally use the JS HW kettle to cut the ship coffee down. If I wanted capuccino - I'd order it.

Out of the pot - worst coffee I've had since my GI days - and we expected (and got) sludge.

Starbucks & Seattle's best - would not pay 10 cents for a cup, let alone 3 or 4 $. Have gone without when they were the only options while traveling. DD isn't bad at all - and like their doughnuts:).

Bring my own on cruises - hand grinders are NOT on the naughty list!

No offense but I'm very much not interested in watered down coffee. And Starbucks is certainly not available on all ships. Not to mention that I don't love Starbucks either.

I feel it's just as easy to order a pot of coffee from room service and I haven't had a problem with the taste. You can always order a pot of hot water if you feel it's too strong. I usually remedy the situation by taking a small jar of Coffee Mate. The coffee stays hot for a long time. I've ordered a pot in the evening for the next morning and it stayed hot overnight. It's great for days when you want to sleep in and not have your sleep interrupted by room service.

Yeah - their coffee/hot water pots are amazing!

How about a french press and bring along a bag of coffee? Maybe I shouldn't have said that....French Presses will be immediately added to the naughty list, as pax are now hurting specialty coffee sales...

I don't want to make coffee, I want to make my herbal tea that I drink every morning and need hot water. Some ships have that little pot and that is all I need. I didn't want to order a pot of hot water because I didn't want to wake my friend up when they knock on the door.

To get back to the OP's original question, as already mentioned, unfortunately only JS and above have the facility to make your own hot beverages.

For everyone else, there's room service or Café Promenade which provides the ability to get specialist coffees, regular or decaf, with the option of various flavoured teas for which hot water is available.

No big deal personally to go down to deck 5 for a morning stroll and pick up what we need.

how many dead presidents do you think it might take to get he water kettle in my room?I like to make a hot chocolate late at night after I am all tucked in. I have been looking online for a small kettle to take. smallest one is a bodium (17 ounces) it is cordless. So I could separate if from the bottom part that plugs in when I pack it so maybe they wouldn't confiscate it?
