My favorite place on the ship for sail-away is verandah deck outside all the way forward. :)

Good tip. We'll be floating under the Dames Point Bridge on July 7th and will occupy YOUR spot for the view. :p

My DD, who was 8 when we were on the Fascination, thought the atrium was absolutely beautiful. Most surfaces are covered with neon lights that change colors. The neon lights are on after dark in the evenings. It was pretty but in a gaudy way. She wanted to sit in a window seat in the lobby and just watch the colors change. :)

She also loved the candy shop - that is where most of her spending money went.

This was the first ship we went on that had a serenity area. That was MY favorite place.

I remember the food as being really good, except for the pizza. It was flavorless and had a cardboard-like crust.

My husband won a blackjack tournament ($500.00) and the casino was HIS favorite place. We had a major fight when he wanted to spend most our free money on gambling. On both cruises since that one we have had separate cash only on board accounts because I never want to ruin another cruise by fighting with him. Arguing can wait until we get home, lol.

The waterworks area was fabulous. I was scared to go down the big slide with DD until the last sea day and it was so much fun!!! I was sorry I had not tried it on the first day.:o

We are going again on 9-29-12 and can't wait. Have fun on your trip!

20 days to sail. I have not been on a fantasy class ship in two years. Loved the Inspiration. I have read lots of great things about the Fascination. We had their Major D on the Inspiration. Great time.:D

Nice pictures kel040

Are the safes on the Fascination the code or card type?

Is there a refrigerator in the suites?

The safe is card type, as someone already said. If you still have a defunct card, no longer

good for anything, it's perfect for the safe, as you can hide it in a book or something and

not have to dig out your good one. I keep my money and credit cards in the safe so I

don't have to carry them.....can't use them on the ship. Having the generic cc to use

for the safe means if only one of us is in the cabin, we have access to the safe.

I don't worry ever about anyone going into the book to look for a credit card, so as far

as I'm concerned it's totally secure.

The Serenity Deck is wonderful, and it's free. Just have to get to it first.

We did a b2b on the Fascination this past December. If you have any questions just ask and I will try to answer.

If Joseph is still the Maitre d try to get in the dining room that he was is working in. Best maitre d I have ever had. Quite the character.

We loved the bar located right outside the casino. They usually had a band playing there every night.

Serenity deck was great.

Thanks! This is the first "smaller" ship we've been on, what did you like most about the ship? Did u find the main pool to be too crowded? Lots of chair hogs?

And, how was the food?

:D
