If any of you are interested those, let me know and I'll forward the information to you. (I get credit if anyone signs up if I refer them to the sites).

Happy saving!!

I love to spend money, so my DH curbs my cravings. I'm not allowed to carry credit/debit cards or checks (I can't remember the last time I wrote a check), he gives me money as I need it. Most everything we buy is for cash, if we charge it we pay the bill in full (need those American Express Rewards Points) DH only takes so much out per week from the bank and if that is gone by Thursday, we suffer. If it is not on sale at the grocery store, we don't eat it. I shop only the sale racks at department stores. One other thing, even though we have one child we both claim zero on our Federal Tax withholding. This gives us a HUGE chunk of cash come April. This is how we are paying for the cruise and a Disney vacation without even looking at our normal cash accounts.

If you like to drink, then stock up on your alcohol during sales. I buy all my alcohol for the entire season during my local wine store's sale. They usually have a buy one, get one or two free deal twice a year. Oh, and yes coupons!

!

Four words will save you a TON on alcohol:

WINE IN A BOX

It's not as bad as you think ;)

You actually could make more money if you didn't have so much money withheld. If you get a big tax rebate, that means that the government has had your money for months and months, when you could have had it and made interest on it!

I'm already a member of all the survey websites listed previously. However, if anyone has a more extensive list please do tell! Email me at cjetsnvettes@ev1.net.

I second (or is it third?!) the notion that this is a great way to make money and so easy!

Thanks!

Try www.surveyclub.com. I was signed up for most of them, but there were some that I didn't know about.

Also www.globalsurveygroup.com will update you on new surveys as well.

So I just signed up with surveyclub.com and am a little concerned. Has anyone tried it? Is it legit?

I signed up with a few survey clubs and since then I am being hit with spam and porn (I'm the sole user of this computer). I have not made a dime. Unless you are really, really bored and have a heck of a fire wall- I don't know that I'd recommend it. If someone is having a great experience, then I would encourage you to find out what they are doing right.

We are both "supposed" to be retired but have part-time jobs. This is our "fun" money and we earmark a good portion for our cruises and winter month in the sun. The rest I am putting away for the time when I can't take working anymore and we will hopefully have extra money to continue these great vacations.

Also, we each throw our change in the kitty for nice things to buy on our stops in St. Martin and St. Thomas. Husband buys nice camera equipment and I buy a nice piece of jewelry or 2 or 3 every time.

We hardly ever go to the movies but rent DVD's.

We have the Kiwanis coupon book for buy one get one dinners out.

We live in a town with over 100 outlet stores so I have great clothes purchased most of the time for 90% off. Where there's a will there's a way.

We have a Royal Caribbean charge card which I pay off every month and the points will add up to cabin credit. That's nice to have.

When we drive to Florida, I use it for motels and also get Comfort Inn credits for free nights at the same time, so in a way it's double dipping.

On the cruise most of the time we do our own excursions rather than through the ship. It saves about 50% and are far better. The only time we go through the ship is on an island with a reputation for crime, or at a strange place, then we will book a ships tour.

I completed about 90% of a survey a few minutes ago, it was for a $250 card at Walmart. It was suppose to be completely free. Baloney!!! Don't do it!!! After about 5 minutes of turning down all the "free" offers I was instructed to agree to 2 trial offers. I clicked off, but of course, they had my e-mail and within a few minutes had porn coming through.

yes, you do need to be careful, land read the fine print before you sign up...I'm sure of the ones that you signed up with, but I don't have any problems with the companies i'm signed up with..

I just got invited to a $20 survey that was about banking. At the end you just needed to register your bank account and credit card numbers with them for "verification". Guys PLEASE be careful. Where I come from that's called "phishing". I'll give them credit, it was slick. Good thing I had lied about my bank name initially on purpose! It's just not worth it!
