Chair Hogs: Norwegian's Blue Dots

Recommended Posts

NCL OFFICIAL CHAIR HOG POLICY

1st Offense: Piglet – Verbal Warning

2nd Offense: Pig - Official Written Warning

3rd Offense: Feral Pig– ½ Ban from Lido Deck

4th Offense: Wild Boar – Full Day Ban from Lido Deck

5th Offense: Confirmed Chair Hog – Tossed into the Brig for one night

6th Offense: Bacon – Chopped into pieces and served at the buffet

I vote to "Keel Kaul" them on the 2nd offense.

If they somehow don't learn from their mistake, "Walk the Plank" on 3rd offense.

I'm for the blue or yellow dot solution to chair hogging.

On my last cruise on the Gem I went looking for a lounger by the pool and of course they all had towels on them. Then one lady who was sitting in the shade told me I can have "that" lounger and to give her the towel. I wanted to sit in the sun so I took the lounger and made my own space by pushing and bunching all the empty loungers together and enjoyed my day in the sun.

Zero Tolerance For Chair Hogs!!

Just got off the Gem' date=' no blue dot policy in place. On the last day at sea, if you didn't claim a lounge chair by 6:45am you were out of luck (unless you were willing to sit upstairs). Unlike most passengers, I grabbed a book and stayed with my chairs.[/quote']

I too just got off the Gem. The first day at sea, security had to be called to the pool at 7:30 am. A fight almost came to blows ! I asked Steve, the hotel manager about Chair Hogs at a Q and A, got a round of applause, and no answer from Steve.

Unless the cruise lines enforce it, it means nothing.
Very true. Alot of the workers are scared of the passengers accusing them of stealing something and don't want to get into trouble..(one actually told me this on my 2010 Gem cruise and gave me a senerio). I would never leave my kindle on a lounge chair and walk away, but passengers do this to lessen the chance of there item being removed. Upper management has to support the workers to carry out the rules, so it starts at the top.
