Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise hotel with shuttle to pier?

Anyone know of a 3 or 4 star hotel in Fort Lauderdale for 1 night pre-cruise that offers free pick up from the airport and free transfer to the pier? Does that even exisit?

We would need 7 rooms reserved for a group.

Looking for a place on the beach or close to it where you can walk to everything.

Thinking about booking it via hotwire.

Thanks.

There are a few hotels that offer an airport shuttle pickup and some offer a transfer to the pier, at a cost per person or complimentary. These will be near the airport, NOT near the beach or downtown.

Using Hotwire you are really limiting yourself and won't know for sure which hotel you are getting. But it will tell you if the hotel has an airport shuttle. Not the port shuttle.

Maybe look at Lastminutetravel.com too. You can call that site and they'll often give you a little better price and will tell you the which hotel it is.

There is lots of info here, if you scan thru the posts.

Know that cabs are NOT expensive. I would never book a hotel in Ft. L with the shuttle being of prime importance. Too limiting.

Which Marriott??

Harbor Beach?/ Courtyard?? Beach Place Towers??? the Renaissance is also a Marriott brand..

Spring Hill Suites?? Courtyard Airport?? Fairfield Inn?? None of the Marriott brands CLOSE to the pier area have free shuttles..though some out by the airport will offer this..

and they Hyatt pier 66 is not near the ocean..

and the Hyatt Pier 66 does not offer free shuttles at all

In the FLL area, the airport and port are very close to the hotels in the downtown zone, so free shuttles are a non-issue. It is only about $10/taxi, and they may be able to take four passengers and luggage. It is much more convenient than the free shuttles.

If you want to save money, don't limit yourself to hotels with free shuttles. If you use priceline, it may be easy to get the 4* Renaissance for $70 depending on your travel dates.

Seven rooms means a lot of people and the shuttle thing is just not going to be expedient. If you do find such a place, you most certainly won't all shuttle together. Why not cut the "free shuttle" out of the equation and spend your time and energy looking for a better hotel where a cab to the pier will only be 15 bucks each. :) Just a suggestion.

You can get the Bahia Mar at the beach for $119/night if you sign in under your Hilton HHonors number, through hiltonfamilymvp.com. AAA rates start at $141 and regular rates start at $149. Sheraton Beach has prepaid rates starting at $139. It's only about $15 per taxi to the port from these hotels.

Hotwire beach zone is quite wide and the cab fare will range from $15 to $35 depending on which hotel you get so be careful.

Cambria suites is the best. We stayed there on June 15th prior to our Oasis cruise. Our room was awesome, the shuttle was free to and from the port. In addition we left our car there while on the cruise (included in the price) that saved us $105.00. All this for $125.00 (tax included). Best deal ever. Also 3 miles from the Hard Rock casino. Dinner was at The Rustic Inn.

Royalcruz- what can you give me on the Ramada in Ft. laudeerdale?...they say they have a free shuttle to and from the airport and Pier and also free breakfast. My question is: is this a safe area? Our cruise is not till Sept.

It is being advertised for $59.00 with taxes and all, it will come to $67 and some change.

Your answer will be appreciated. seacat

Has anyone stayed here? They offer free parking up to 14 days and free shuttle to cruise port.

Yes, we've stayed here three times. No complaints. Close to a shopping center, breakfast in the AM, shuttle from FLL & shuttle to port Everglades. we had 5 in the room twice, no issues. We'll be staying there in December...

We stayed at one in another city while driving by. Was a nice property. Newer and great price for our one night stay. Here is the tripadviosr review page for the one in Dania...
