JDCMN Posted November 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Do any recent cruisers on the Liberty know if there's a door decorating contest held on a routine basis (not related to any holiday since we're sailing in January)? We have an idea in mind which would involve packing some larger items but with luggage space at a premium, we wouldn't want to bring them if there wasn't any contest. Thanks so much and Happy Cruising!

Thanks so much and Happy Cruising! While it is possible that several from your roll call may organize some type of contest, to the best of my knowledge, Carnival does not have any sort of contest. Door decorating seems to be a personal choice, and is neither encouraged or discouraged by the cruise line.
Rena921 Posted November 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2012 No contests anymore that I am aware of. Maybe you could start one with your Roll Call....
Rare Banditswife Posted November 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Last Dec on the Legend they had one. But I never saw anyone judging doors- nor did we win. There was an entry sheet in the atrium area that you had to fill out. We are decorating ours next week - just for fun. I found stuff at the party goods store we are going to use- all easy to pack & cheap enough to toss after the cruise.

JDCMN Posted November 4, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Thanks all for your fast replies! It seems as if it's a hit or miss type thing but I think we'll still decorate our door just for our own enjoyment. :) Thanks again!
