I'm going on JW on 12/8 but my friend is doing 12/3 and 12/8 for B2B. So I think I shall ask her to be a tester.:) When are you sailing next? So I think I shall ask her to be a tester.:) When are you sailing next? We'll be on Liberty and Oasis in December. Then Sapphire Princess out of San Pedro for NYE. It sure will be nice to drive to the port instead of flying. Are you and Don cruising this NYE?

It sure will be nice to drive to the port instead of flying. Are you and Don cruising this NYE? We are, on Jewel. We sailed Sapphire for NYE two years ago. I would say good but not great for us. So we'll deal with flying during the holidays. Life is full of tradeoffs!
Seatravelers Posted November 9, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2012 We will be testing that soon. I wonder if port security will get the memo? So, for my b2b2b I can technically bring 6 bottles onboard at embarkation? And, 8 bottles for my b2b2b2b???? Doubt they would let this happen;). Hopefully, though, we will be able to buy wine in San Juan or St Thomas and get it back at the end of each cruise for the next one??? Guess I may have to write a letter to Miami, too. lol

However, I would expect that you would have to leave the terminal area (unless it's San Juan where they have duty free inside the terminal) to purchase the wine, and then wait to re-board with the newly arriving guests. cruisegirl1 Posted November 9, 2012 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2012 RCCL correspondence to the OP seems to allow the process of bringing bottles for B2B cruises . For those taking a B2B soon, I would also suggest obtaining similar correspondence. Cheers M
tinkerme1 Posted November 10, 2012 #13 Share Posted November 10, 2012 I called D+ today and was told that the B2B on Oasis will not allow me to bring four bottles of wine. I spoke to one of the senior gals at D+ and I trust what she tells me. She did say, however, that if Senior Management makes a "statement" to this B2B wine policy, she would call me. Her reasoning to me was that the ship would need to "store" the two extra bottles and then deliver them to your cabin after the first cruise. She's not sure the ship has room to store that many bottles! LOL! I would be ready to give up two bottles if the policy isn't clear or confirmed via their web policy. PamelaRic Posted November 10, 2012 #15 Share Posted November 10, 2012 On my B2B, I purchased wine in port and handed it in when I boarded. At the end of the first leg, my wine was delivered to my room. I then used it during my second leg. :-) Easy-peasy!! Pamela

It seems that their accounts were flagged as B2Bers so their purchases were held over during the second week.

This is what I was told, and that is what I read here. Clay

RustyRudder Posted November 13, 2012 #23 Share Posted November 13, 2012 Did they change the policy of charging a $25 corking fee if you consume wine brought on board (max 2 bottles/cabin) in a PUBLIC AREA such a a DINING ROOM? It still states that on the website. In the past one could only drink wine brought on board in a PRIVATE area, such as your cabin or balcony. OK for a small party, but not dinner etc. Please clarify if you have new information.

No, as far as I know, the policy is as stated on the website: wine brought on board is subject to a corkage fee of $25 if consumed in dining room, restaurant, or bar. No corkage fee if consumed in the stateroom.

I made a copy of this email and will take it with me and my 4 bottles of wine. Guess I'll find out in about 3 weeks. Can you imagine what a mess it would be storing the two extra bottles of wine for the second week. Just far too many people (at least on our sailing) doing b2b
