Hello all,

I am planning my first ever cruise from Gavleston Tx April 8th with the Triumph.

when do I need to place my booking?

Best price i found today is 289$ (on carnival.com).

Would you say the prices will rise or drop from now?

Is there any risk of the ship getting sold out?

Thanks for your help.

The canceletaion poliy seems very hard so I would like to delay the booking.

You will find more details and better answers on the Carnival forum.

-The time to place your booking is before the room you want is gone. That is not an exact time, but bookings occur from the day they open years in advance all the way up to a few days before sailing. Do you need to travel from Sweden? Do you need transportation from Houston down to Galveston? If you have made or prepaid those arrangements, do not delay booking in hopes of a $25 cost savings on the fare.

-Best price I see for your departure on the US Carnival site is $349, so prices may already be going up.

- Yes there is a risk of the ship selling out, that is the goal of Carnival after all.

- Be aware there are booking rules regarding your residency...and prices do vary depending on from where you are required to book

Yes it could sell out. You are more likely to not be able to get the cabin catagory you want and the dinner seating you prefere by waiting. As the ship fills up prices likely will go up. We are booked on the Triumph in late may and have been booked for a while now and I see the advertised prices are a little higher now. This will be our 15th Carnival cruise and we always use a travel agent and book early for best prices. We were on the Triumph for a short cruise in sept of 2012, We liked it you should have a good time.
