Why, what is your experience with the Comfort Inn? :) We're just starting to look @ hotels for December.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in March 2013 for one night. It was ok but the park is only 1 block away and the River in back. We could see the Adventure from the hallway window nearby. It wasn't the greatest hotel we have ever stayed at but it served the purpose or one night, it was the cheapest we could find and that was over $100. They were refurbishing it and we were on the side facing the park and could hear noise most of the night. The breakfast was wonderful and I loved the waffles my husband was well satisfied. We walked to the area and saw the Casino with the high rollers comming in. The only thing we did wrong was eat Porto Rican food... not good for us as everything was deep fried. Only the fried plantains were delious, we should have gone to a better resturant.

Take care...

Irene & Miles

Robin...love your review. We booked AOS for next April and reserved the same cabin OS 1300. This will be our first time in an OS. :D. Heard there were some issues with noise from the pool deck above. Did you have any issues with noise?

Would also like to know how far in advance did you hear from the concierge before the cruise?

Robyn - Hi there!

How are you doing?? Have you booked the Quantum yet????? I am booked for April 12, 2015 & its selling so fast rates are UP!! Long way off but the roll call is BANANAS over 3,000+ posts already! Very hard to keep up with it!

Wondering..... Can you please give me some info on the Hilton Barbados? You were raving! How much were day passes, what kind of facilities did you have access to, food & bar options? taxi costs, length, beach quality, etc.???? Last time around in Barbados a cabbie finagled & took me where he wanted to go just to fill his cab. Ended up at Rockley/Accra instead of Cockspur/Malibu. Ended up a nice day, but not as Epic as yours sounded! :)

If you like feel free to send it to cruise718 at yahoo Hope you and your family are doing well!

Happy Cruising!!!!

Happy Cruising!!!!

We had a fabulous day at the Hilton. The cost for the day was $45 per person and we booked it ahead with Island Marketing. Lunch was included, but no alcohol.

No, I haven't booked Quantum. I have yet to sail on Oasis class!!

There was absolutely no noise from above. We received an email from the Concierge the Monday before our cruise.

You will love the suite! We are booked in 1600 for Feb 2014.

Robyn,

I noticed you have AOS listed numerous times in you sig. I have a question I hope you will answer. Sorry if you've already answered this in your review.

We have reserved OS 1600 for our cruise on the AOS. Do you know whether we will be able to see the fort as the ship leaves San Juan or should we get out on a deck somewhere? I realize it will be dark but I can imagine it will be a nice sight anyway.

Just asking so we will be in the right place to see it as the ship leaves San Juan.

Thanks in advance for your answer!

You will have to go out on deck as the fort will be on the starboard side. The fort is quite impressive at night all lit up so it is worth seeing.

And yes, I know that my name is not Robyn.

Ocean Boy,

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, even if your name isn't Robyn. :D

I'm not familiar with AOS. Can you recommend the deck that will give us the best view?

Thanks!

I love deck twelve. It is the sundeck above the pool deck. It has great unobstructed views and it is easy to walk from one side of the ship to the other. And if you want to watch where the ship is heading the forward part of the deck gives great views out ahead of the ship.

You picked agreat ship for a cruise.:)

I see your icon about loving balconies!

Now that I've just heard the term "hump room" was wondering what secrets you've learned about getting more room for less or if I'll just have to book Liberty from now on.

That balcony was insanely great. Any other ship you would have to book a Jr. Suite to get one as big.

Oh my goodness! I'm just now finding this! But I've had a good excuse. I've been on the Vision from Feb. 8-22nd!! Haven't been able to read all yet but have skimmed over several pages!

Glad you are having a good time! Owner's Suite......I'm impressed!

Guess who got on board the Vision the day we did?! Our beloved DeDe!! She is now the Guest Services Manager there. We had a grand reunion! What fun!

Will start on my review this week-end. We had a fabulous 2 weeks on board Vision. Will keep following along with you!

This is Robyn's sailing from last year. Though she is back on Adventure this week too. But this thread has nothing to do with this year's cruise.

I guess no one read the date!!! LOL

Robyn-waiting for the 2014 version!!! Royal suite version!!!:D

I'm waiting for that myself! But I'll have to wait until after next week as we are on Allure this Sunday.... if the ship is ready, the pod fixed, and it is out of drydock. I'm nervous.:eek::rolleyes:

I'm on adventure Sunday and plan to do a detailed review as well since I'll have a 13 month old and see how the ship is for little ones.

I was on the TA in November.... there was a family down the corridor who had not researched well and they were surprised at the lack of facilities for their little one. They had assumed she would be allowed in the pools and that they could use the play facilities indoors there with her.... there was no nursery.... an area by the lifts was set aside with toys for their use. She was 2, in nappies. The water play zone was closed for the large part as the week previously we had experienced storms in Europe and there had been damage to some of the structure. There were very very few children on board.
