Miami Hotel pre-cruise

My suggestion would be downtown. I have not stayed at the Hyatt. I have stayed at the Intercontinental and the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Both of these hotels are right next to Bayside Marketplace (I think the Hyatt is in that area also). Bayside is just a fun place to start your vacation. They have food, drinks, shopping and live bands. There is also a CVS right there where you can get any last minute items (wine, water, toiletries...etc). I used last minute travel dot com to get great deals on both of my hotels. Hope this helps!! Have a great cruise!!

I agree! We really enjoy Bayside for a few hours the night before a cruise. If more than one night I would look towards SoBe.

LQ East is a budget hotel in an isolated location - no shopping or dining nearby (except for the Embassy Suites, where dinner will likely cost more than your LQ room ). Look downtown unless you are getting in late and just want a bed and a shuttle to POM the next day.

Good luck! :)
