The next stop on this journey was the IRIE BLUE HOLE. There's really no way to desribe it, so I'll just post a few pictures.

Its basically in the middle of the lush foliage and after about a twenty minute very rocky and scary drive up the mountain. For a second I thought about the movie PROOF OF LIFE and was wondering if we were being set up...

Once we got up there, we saw what all the fuss about and were in awe at the beautiful waterfall and perfectly calm turquoise water. Basically in order to get into the water (which by the way is about 80ft deep) you either have to climb down the side or jump off a 40 ft cliff like this guy...

Aww, shucks ! I thought that was your newly BRAVE ADVENTUROUS husband. Well, we're proud of him anyway !!

Our driver for the IRIE BLUE HOLE portion of the tour was Peat's son, Ainsworth. He was so sweet. He dutifully answered every one of my husband's 3000 questions and gave us a lot of information about the culture, the island, the trade, as well as different customs on the island. He was really a sweetheart. We had mentioned that we were looking for some good prices on liquor and he took us to place where there was free RUM (and other liquor) tasting in order to get us the best price. We ended up picking up two bottles that were pretty cheap. Overproof something or another and Appleton reserve I believe is what they were called.

Okay, side note: I brought two cameras ont his trip. My trusty little Nikon Coolpix and another more expensive (though older) Canon camera. I got most of my long shots (and better shots) with that one but some sort of way -- and I suspect a certain five year old may be to blame since he was the one carying the backpack that had the camera inside and repeatedly slammed it down on the cement when putting it down -- it died the night before we returned to Miami. Now normally this would not be a problem because one could simply remove the memory card to upload the pictures, right? WRONG. When I put the memory card in my other camera, it was completely wiped. Empty. And I'm a tecky so I know what I'm doing. What I can't figure out is how it happened. So anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that I have about 400plus pictures that were lost which is why this "photo review" is so thin. I am doing my best. But I felt an explanation was necessary. Lets just say that someone better be getting a new camera for Christmas this year.:D:mad:

OH, NO 4,000 ??? Fear of fear. losing those images. What you did salvage, though are beautiful shots. The Ocho Rios are my favorites. You two are a beautiful couple. I have enjoyed every post you've made. Thank you.

Love, love, love your review so far. Thanks for taking the time to post! We are thinking of this same cruise for Jan 2014. Thanks for Ocho Rios idea, I like your choice!

I am so sorry to hear about missing grand Turk. We never have good luck and usually miss ports when we cruise. On our last Dream cruise we missed 2:eek: it super sucked....but missing Turk? That really really super sucks.

Well, thanks again. You guys look like a fun couple. :D

Okay so my days are starting to run together but I think -- if my memory serves me correctly, that after we go back from Jamacia and then we crashed. The next day was a formal night and my hubby with his nasty self was looking forward to the escargot. Uughh....

So after we took an extended nap we went to dinner and hung our with our table mates.

Every night except one, I ordered the WCMC for dessert. This is what I decided to try this time. And guess what, IT TASTED LIKE HOT DIRT. That's why you should stick with what you know!

When we got back to the room this was waiting for us.

IF YOU ever sail with us....be on our Trivia Team. We won the three Day Super Duper Triva contest on the Dream..once and on the Freedom ..once. On Princess..Jeopardize Trivia. That was a moment. EAch team...will be in my memory forever. I look at the pics of those people..from California..Puerto Rico..California..New Hampshire..several from Canada...Texas..Florida.Alabama..Lawyers, nurses, retirees, secretaries, housewives, house husbands, and they all are so sweet in my memory.

Now That said........love your review. Hate the cheaters. They defeat the purpose of the game. The ones who use their Blackberries and Smart phones...really. it is a game.

Hate to hear the casino is tight.

Were the shows good?

We are on the Breeze Sept 14.........8 day to Turks..never been there..Tortula been there once..don't remember much....St. Thomas and San Juan..been there once...

Your husband sounds like me. I have to be by a wall when I swim..who knows when I might have a cramp? need something to hang onto? better safe than sorry.

Your baby is precious. My grand daughter is two and a half..we keep her two days a week...and as she is our only grand.......we spoil her rotten. We believe in Dr. Spock..when they are little you cannot love or hold them enough. It worked with my very independent daughter..

Ocho Rios is somewhere I would like to visit (haven't been there yet). Your excursion looked really fun (I would've loved swimming up under the waterfall and getting pictures there as well as under that turquoise water - I have an underwater housing for my Canon Cybershot camera that works wonderfully, making it so I have an underwater camera and one that can be used out of the water when not in it's housing).

You would really love Ocho Rios. We certainly did. Lots of stuff to see and do. I need to invest in an underwater camera myself. Perhaps I'll have two under the tree this year!

Great review. You are very talented in your writing. Loved the humour :):D

Thanks for reading! I LOVE writing. Actually have a novel or two in my back pocket but I am freakishly afraid of rejection -- which is why I was so afraid to write this review at first -- perhaps I'm on to something...lol.;)

Love the review. Were sailing the Breeze on the same itinerary in April.

Like others, I couldn’t get past the fries at Guy's burgers to notice the burger - I laughed out loud more than once - and I can't wait to have that breakfast you got (the one that came in the cup that is).

So this morning was SLOW. We were whooped from the previous day. By the way I think I left some things out regarding the Ocho Rios Excursion. First, the price was $90pp for the Dunn's River Falls Excursion, the River Tubing, and Irie Blue Hole. We were literally too pooped to do the river tubing so we decided to drop out at the last minute and head over to Margaritaville for some potential debauchery.

So on Thursday morning we...I have no idea honestly. I think we had gone to the comedy show the night before and got LIT. So, therefore I don't remember much about that night or much of what we did on Thursday during the day. Sorry, lol!!

However, I do remember that night because we had a deck party!! Yeah!! I think it was Thursday...now that I think about it it might have been Tuesday night. I don't know. Who cares!! A party is a party.

Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, BUMMM!!

And guess who was in the middle of the all the action!

This is one of the most captivating reviews I've read on C.C. First let me commend you for not only your writing skills, but the dry and witty sense of humor you have, starting with your screen name. I think it goes over the top of most peoples heads, but I personally look at is as a name that signifies pride in yourself as an individual and what we all are, an American! I was born and raised in a very racially diverse city in California where for the most part everybody just looked at each other as you're either a good person or a jerk.

But enough of the speech. I'd only like to add that if the infamous John Heald ever wants to relax a little and let somebody else talk the cruise ship talk that we all enjoy, well, you'd be the perfect fit! Don't ever sell yourself short on your natural writing talent again.
