Wingate by Wyndham Miramar

Has anyone here stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham Miramar, if so what did you think of it?

Any reason you are staying in Miramar? It isn't close to either Port of Miami or Port Everglades. In fact, it is very far away from both. I'd say in traffic you are close to an hour to each port.

I have not stayed there, but I have stayed at other Wingates in Florida while traveling on business and they are nice - free breakfast, wifi always works well, have not yet run into one that was not spotlessly clean.

I am at the one in St Augustine right now

Check tripAdvisor.com for reviews for the one you are looking at.

I was told that it is only 19 miles from POM. Also of the hotels I checked the hotels that was a good hotel was either booked or outragiously priced.

There are no routes to the POM from Miriamar that you'll make in less than forty minutes unless you are driving at 3am.

You must be going over peak season.

Sometimes the money you are saving is not worth the money you are saving. This is one of those times.

Allow for at least an hour to the POM.

Miami traffic is the worst in the US. It is literally driving in another country.

I would look for other options closer to the Port.

Have you looked at all of the downtown hotels such as:

Hampton Inn

Holiday Inn

Marriott

Hyatt

Marriott Marquis

There are many more but this is a start.

Yes we have, this will be our 3 time out of Miami. The hotels that we have stayed at before the prices have double as for other hotels will have looked. They are either booked or over priced. So far those from our group have also booked at this hotel. Thank You all.
