Marie was cold so we skipped the ice show and I played in three slot pull. Top twelve score got a final where you could win a cruise. I an not holding out hope as I was fifth in my round.

I was on last week, and happened to be in the casino for the last slot tournament. Entered it, made it to the finals (top 2 from our round went). I was only a few thousand points short of the cruise, but 2nd place got me a nice $550 :)

I have looked over our schedule today and it makes me tired just reading it.

 

9:30 meet and mingle

10:15 crown and anchor recognition parry

1:15 how to train your dragon ice show

2:00 world sexiest man competition

 

Thankfully there is a couple hours left in the late afternoon for relaxing (napping) by the pool.

 

Just not use to so much structured time on vacation. :p

I don't get why the meet and mingle is so early. On the western route it's Monday first full day of cruise makes it tough for many to attend.

It seems like every time someone quotes the price of the unlimited internet on Allure, it's a different number. I wonder if they adjust the price, like they do stateroom prices?

On a windy rainy night in Central Park we had dinner at 150 Central Park. What a terrific experience. The service was great and the food was a joy.

 

We all had the cucumber martini, a refreshing way to start the meal. Had fun tasting the salts with the bread, I was partial to the smoky Salish salt.

 

This was the menu for tonight

 

Homemade organic ricotta - warm Swank Farm baby vegetables, orange, basil

 

Heirloom tomato gazpacho - cucumber salad, marcona almonds, Swank Farm onion sprouts

 

Homemade fettuccine - Florida rock shrimp, chorizo,Borek Farms baby vegetables, manchego

 

Wild salmon - Borek Farms Tuscan kale and cannellini bean ragout

 

Slow roasted and grilled Harris Ranch beef short rib - roasted cipollini onions, Swank Farms cress, romesco sauce

 

Strawberry shortcake - lemon olive oil cake, lemon curd, slow roasted strawberry, basil, sweet cream

The plan for St Thomas is to spend the day at Sapphire Beach. We started a little late so many of the breakfast options were not there. Windjammer was packed and Johnny Rockets closed five minutes before we arrived. So we grabbed a few things from the Cafe Promenade and sat at Boardwalk Donuts to wait to go ashore. Had a couple donuts too. :D
