Passports for Sagrada Familia?

We purchased a Membership to Sagrada Familia and expect o pick up passes when we arrive in a few weeks. I just read on another blog that when entering Sagrada Familia, they check your passports. Does anyone know if you have to bring your actual passports or if photocopies are sufficient? I wasn't planning on bringing our physical passports with us off the ship (we are cruising). Thanks!

We didn't have to with day of purchase...however your situation would be best verified with who you made your purchase from..as I would want to be "sure" on that detail.

I am expecting to be asked for identification this Friday when we visit. Did you purchase tickets or a family membership. When I applied for the family membership I had to enter everyone's passport numbers. The only reason I would imagine they'd ask for that would be to verify it at the time of entry.
