Do you have to order HAL Navigator wine packages on line before you sail or can they be bought once on board?

No, actually I think you can only purchase while on board. I have found in some cases the wines some times vary from ship to ship, not by much but there can be some differences.

You can buy it on board from any bartender, bar steward, wine steward........

There is always a Wine Steward on the Lido deck at the Spa end when you board. He has a complete wine list and prices of the different packages. You can purchase from him.:)

I would wait and order it at your table the first night from your wine steward - they seem to appreciate that as they might get extra for selling it (just guessing though).

On our last 20 day cruise we did buy the 5 bottles from the Admiral's package.

We waited until we were on the ship and having dinner to buy the package.

The 15% gratuity on all bar bills is divided among all the bar tenders and bar servers.

You can order the package on line or when you get on board. Like the others, I now order on board. That way I can talk to the wine steward and see what the selection is on that ship:D The selections can vary so it's wise to wait IMO:D
