kobecat Posted August 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2013 OMG those poor kids. Ditto the other passengers; fancy being on that flight!

You could also be looking at something with the food.
mickey89 Posted August 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2013 If you need to ask that question, you have never contracted the dreaded Noro.
Nancyquilts Posted August 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2013 If they weren't all in the bathrooms, it wasn't noro.
jaybird from SC Posted August 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2013 In this case...IF all of them became ill on or about the same time, I would suspect food poisioning. I
Iamthesea Posted August 1, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2013 Sounds like they all became ill at the same time. That's an awful lot of kids to get sick from Noro - at the same time! IF the 26 were the only passengers on the flight and they were served a meal, I would say food poison. If there were other passengers of all ages, there is no way it was food poison from something eaten on the airplane. Could be that the 26 all ate the same meal before boarding...maybe at a mission camp, etc.

Eng23 Posted August 2, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Not likely. It would take the norovirus more than a few hours to incubate and become symptomatic. When noro breaks out on a ship most passengers take a couple of days to get symtomatic. That's not to say that a cruise passenger can't contract noro at the end of a cruise and then be sick from it once back home. In this case it was only the children from that particular group that got sick and no one else on the plane did. That would definitely point to whatever they had, it was contracted before getting on the plane.
kenish Posted August 3, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 3, 2013 This reminds me of a flight where food on the flight was definitely tainted. The only common denominator among random strangers is they took the same flight...not a group of friends who ate together pre-flight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerol%C3%ADneas_Argentinas_Flight_386
