From checking her posts, she sailed last week.

Yikes, I hope that MSC doesn't put me thru that rigmarole when I get on board. I too have pre-ordered the Premium Allegrissimo, or what I call The AllYouCanDrinkissmo, Package. Perhaps MSC needs an approval on my method of payment before it allows me to begin to utilize the benefits. But that should not be the reason for Guest Relations not knowing how to process it.

I Hope not. But mine was on the card, I went to customer service to ask how do I know I have the drink package, she looked at my card and pointed out the lettering. if you have 421 on your card, its the premium package.

Classic Adult is 591

Classic Premium 421

Look to see if these numbers are on your card before going to customer service.

If you have coupons, on my boarding day flyer it says to pick them up at the Casino Bar.

We aren't lushes, but after looking over the packages decided the premium package would be great for us. A fresh orange juice at breakfast, maybe a bloody mary or coffee and Baileys before lunch would be nice. Then we read about some of the nicer sparking wines you could get and wines with dinner. If you add a bottle of water or soft drink to take from the fridge on port days, it turned out to be a no-brainer. Ordering online was easy with quick confirmation. Oh, and the premium liquors sealed the deal. Doug

I bought the Allegrissimo Premium package for my cruise in October. I have received the confirmation of my purchase. I hope that this does will not as complicated as you. are gratuities included in the price ?

Yes, gratuities are included. In fact, even if you wanted to add an additional gratuity, there is no way to do it, except by giving cash. The receipt that you sign (for $0.00) doesn't provide any place to add a tip.

i am sailing on the Divina on 3/22 and i am still so confused about the drink packages. i may have 1-2 mixed drinks a day and my husband may have 1-2 beers a day. he drinks pop and i drink iced tea. i found a bar list for the ship and most beers are less than $4 each plus the 15% gratuity. most mixed drinks are around $5 plus the gratuity. the packages allow for 14 vouchers - take 14 x approx. $5 a drink for mixed drinks and that is $70 - the package costs $72, yet they claim you will save more than 15% on the package. Beers (not the exotic ones) are less than $5 with gratuity so the $72 would also be no savings. Pop is shown as $1.90 a serving plus gratuity would be less than $2.50 - 14 vouchers x $2.50 saves just pennies. are the prices on the bar list i found totally wrong? i called MSC and finally got through to an agent who assured me that i would be foolish to not purchase the packages but it seems a waste to use vouchers for alcohol to purchase pop and juice. plus, we will both have to purchase the alcohol voucher and then if we have to add the pop vouchers in addition to that the cost starts to add up. every other cruise i've gone on sold pop cards that were "unlimited" so this voucher system seems petty on the cruise line's part.

Addendum - i have tried emailing MSC twice in the past week and gotten no response. my travel agent will not even try to call them unless it is to book a cabin because it takes so long to get through to them. when you go to their website the "online chat" is always "offline". i got a great deal on this cruise but i sure hope the service on the ship is much better than the pre-cruise experence.

Don't expect great customer service from MSC. They are a large freight (container) company growing into the passenger market. Regarding your question about drink pricing, when we sailed Divina over Christmas, the menu beers were $5-6 plus 15%. So when we sail again in April, we will buy the vouchers @ 14beers for $52, gratuity included. Sodas were $2.50 plus tip onboard, so we are pre-ordering the 15 soda vouchers for $30 for the kids. Wines by the glass or bottle onboard are priced just like any restaurant so we are getting the dinner wine package of 10 bottles for $120. As for mixed drinks, I did not see any under $5.50 onboard, so the 15 voucher package will save you a bit, but not that much. To pre-order, go to the website and click "already booked" then look up the packages. But don't wait, you must pre-order at least a week ahead of departure, try two weeks to be safe. Cheers!

The most recent drink menu prices I've seen on the internet for the Divina was,,

most mixed drinks-$7.25 plus 15% grat.=$8.34

Voucher pkges. $72/15=$4.80 incl grat. saving '$36.75' per book of vouchers!

American bottled Beer-$5.00 plus 15% grat.=$5.75

Voucher pkges. $52/14=$3.71 incl grat. saving '$28.56' per book of vouchers!

Wine-$6.50-$8.50 plus 15% grat=approx=$7.46

Same voucher pkges as drinks- $72/15=$4.80 incl grat. saving '$25.50' per book of vouchers!

Don't trust my math, but its close.:D Prices are for bar stock!

You can purchase vouchers on the ship, but they cost more, reducing your savings!

MSC website is difficult for everyone, you can learn a lot from people here who sail and pass on what they've learned!

You can book the drink packages online, you'll need your booking number.

Have a good time, look forward to your review!

thanks so much for the accurate drink pricing - that sure helped with the decision to purchase the vouchers. i am excited to try this different cruise line - despite the negative comments i've seen posted. everyone says the ship is very clean and i'll take that over anything else any day!

The Allegrissimo package worked for me -- BUT getting it was a hassle. I had ordered it online, but when I boarded the agent said I'd have to go to Guest Services to have it added to my sea card; Guest Services sent me to the casino; the casino sent me back to Guest Services. After about 10 minutes, Guest Services finally figured out how to add it to my card. They all acted like they'd never done this before; but surely I'm not the only person who bought the package online.

Thanks for this advice.

Did they swipe your card each time? Or was there a sticker (or something else) you could "flash" for service.

Thank you!

They swipe your card and you also have to sign for the receipt. There is a 3 digit code on your card depending which all inclusive package you choose.

Does anyone know if we have 5 cabins booked together, do we all have to purchase the exact same package or just a package? Do they really require everyone to purchase, as that just doesn't seem fair to those who want a package to require others who see no benefit to order the same one.

Also with the premium package - adding the pastry and gelateria - what do items from there typically cost and what are you even buying. Does anyone have a menu to see the offerings. I don't know that I would want to pay another $13 per day for those offerings.

Yet we have 2 in our group, that at best might order 1 drink a day. The alcohol package isn't worth it to them. But then does that cause the ones who do want a package to not be able to order?

Another question is at the beginning of the thread it shows a soda package for $8 a day (fountain drinks). When I phoned in the rep stated they have never heard of it and that it wasn't anything that could be booked. Did they get rid of that package? It would come in handy for kids, etc and those adults who don't drink alcoholic beverages. We have several in our group that have always bought a soda card on other lines, they are finding the vouchers to not be a great option to mess with.

ALLEGRISSIMO PREMIUM CHILD ALL INCUSIVE=$28.50 per day, 'but only' for children with parents getting the Allegissimo Adult pkge=$57.00 per day.!

Voucher books for soda are 15 vouchers for $30.00

Milk Shake vouchers are 10 vouchers for $31.00

I just want to make sure I understand, the allegrissmo classic does not include the pastry, coffee, and all of the gelato bar menu. I would love if msc would let people get the kid version of the premium, since it seems to include everything except alcohol!! Why not offer a non-alcohol package!!

- msc since calling the customer service number is hopeless, can you offer non-alcohol packages, or permit a purchase of a child's package?

We are a family who likes to dine together, but we all have different drinking habits, if one couple in our table has the "Premium" package do we all have to have it or everyone just needs to have some type of package?

If all your rooms are linked together. You all need to have the same package. (which is not fair IMHO) If they are not linked you most likley will not be at the same table and might be your best option if someone in your group wants the package. Then when boarding go to the dining room maitre d with your party to try to get the group all sitting together.

hi just trying to book a cruise on MSC whats the best drinks package please because its like a mind fields lol

I'm going for the classic. It looks to cover all cocktails unless using champagne which I'm ok with. Includes tonnes of spirits, I like vodka and they serve absolute, I just can't have grey goose. Oh well. I also drink Bacardi which I can have. No mini bar but I don't mind taking a drink back to room when getting ready and through the day I prefer frozen alcoholic cocktails and non of them in the bar. Ice cream by cone or tub, well that's how I enjoy my Ben n Jerrys so that's cool.

I can't don't be premium package as I'd be tempted to empty the mini bar daily and save it all for when I got home which would just be rude. Lol.

Also no energy drinks on classic but I'm on holiday so I don't need any more energy, I just wanna relax.

Hope this helps.

Do you think this really happens or am I being incredibly naive?
