Onboard 2 hours before sailing at embarkation

We sail from Barcelona at 7pm.

Expect to check in around 12.

Would like to visit Barcelona that afternoon.

Do we need to be onboard at 5pm or does a later all aboard time apply?

Other passengers who boarded in Malaga will be visiting Barcelina as a normal port of call on that day.

Do we need to be back for 5 for the matter drill?

You have to be onboard two hours before sailing so yes, you need to be there by 5 p.m. That said, what time is the muster drill? You will need to be onboard for that so plan accordingly.

absolutely you need to be there no later than 2 hours prior to boarding. It has nothing to do with those who have boarded at a different embarkation port and will be sight seeing.

The replies so far reflect my understanding. However, another way to do it would be to drop luggage off at the cruise terminal but not check-in at that stage.....do that at the latest possible time, which is 2 hours before sailing! That way you maximise time in Barcelona. Take the port shuttle, running from the cruise terminal into Barcelona at the waterside area just below the Columbus monument, and my advice would be to ensure you are back there by 4.30 for return to ship.

If you are slightly later than 5.00pm, they aint gonna turn you away but best to be there as close to 5.00pm as possible. Make sure you have the ship contact number so you can phone ahead if running late.
