So which cruise next?

We went on our first cruise (Thomson) and did enjoy it ; the itinerary was good (Adriatic Explorer); ship experience good. So we are thinking of doing another however we did spend a week at an hotel after the cruise and our two young teens found that boring.

The upshot is has anyone got some ideas of what cruise to do next and where to go for a hotel week? The two youngsters do like theme parks

You could look at Orlando with all its theme parks and lots of cruise options out of Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale.

West coast sailing from LA? Lots of theme parks there.

Have you thought about having a week in Salou (Port Aventura theme park), then travelling about 70 miles to Barcelona for any of the cruises from there? Your family would probably enjoy an NCL Epic cruise.

Copenhagen has the Tivoli gardens, and cruise ships.

A week at Disney Paris; a whizz back on the Eurostar and something like Independence or Azura from Southampton?

Thomson offer various stay/cruise options, but I can't think of any with theme parks near by....perhaps the Canary Isles?

Or a week on Mallorca, then sail from Palma?

Why not eliminate the week at a hotel and do a longer cruise?

Thinking more about this, perhaps you need a full fortnight on Independence of the Seas, sailing out of Southampton to the Med. There's plenty of teen activities on there which would occupy them- more than on a smaller ship. It would probably cost no more than a cruise/stay, with flights, as well.

Defintily sail out of Port Canaveral, there are lots of options. It's only an hour or so away from Orlando, tons to do there: Disney, Universal, dinner theaters, and smaller places like Old Town.
