Recommended Posts

I see some others have posted descriptive reviews which is good, because mine are mostly picture reviews.

We flew business class to Heathrow on FF Delta miles. :)

One of the benefits of Biz Class is/was Fast Track through immigration

We also could have freshened up at the Yotel, but had a car to catch to Dover.

We headed straight to Dover for 2 nights pre-cruise. We stayed at Ramada Dover which was nice enough and suited our needs, including air conditioning!

I had arranged for a driver and car through Airport Pickups London and they were waiting for us when we cleared Immigration/Customs and off we went to Dover.

Once in the hotel, it was time for a proper nap and then room service. What else, but fish and chips!

Then it was nap time again with a tour to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the White Cliffs scheduled for the next morning.

Forgot to mention that within easy walking distance of the Ramada Dover is a convenience store/gas station, and a McDonald's (shocking).

Anyway, we were met the next day by White Cliff's Geotours - the tour had been arranged by Bob on our cruise and we were fortunate enough to be able to be included. We were the first to be picked up and then it was off to fetch the rest before heading out to see some White Cliffs, Canterbury, Leeds Castle, and then the Battle of Britain Memorial.

I don't know what the hell that green stuff is, but it ruined my appetite.

Fabulous pictures, thanks! When I scrolled down the first set of stained glass windows, it looked like they magically enlarged. Stunning!
