I am considering Splendor. I have heard mixed reviews of the ship. If you have a chance, can you please hit on the pros and cons of the Splendor? Thanks.

We sailed on the Splendor in September and have booked again for January because we enjoyed it so much!

Awesome:

Food

Service

DiningRoom

Shows

Entertainment

Malcolm the Cruise Director :)

Clean

Did I mention the food?

 

 

 

 

Not so great:

Nothing… we don't mind pink :D

The lido has a cover, they kept it closed almost the entire time on my recent cruise. It was opened one day when we had some better sunny weather in Freeport.

I thought so, it always seemed colder in the Splendido (the Lido buffet area).

It would depend. We cruised on the Splendor in July. The cover was open most of the time except when it was raining one day in Nassau, and then when we docked in NYC it was over 100 degrees, but with the cover closed it was comfortable.

Im thinking when I go end of January there wont much need for shorts.

More like sweat shirt and pants maybe?

Most likely, I like to layer. I was usually able to go during the day with a t-shirt and added a hoodie or long sleeve in the evening.

We sailed her in Sept too and loved it!

My only complaint and its a carnival thing and not a splendor thing was the entertainment on the carnival ships, i think is not as good or as much as other lines..

We liked the splendor better than the glory. Went in May going again in January. Really liked the dome over the lido in case of bad weather.
