Eclipse Show times?

Sorry, I know this has been asked before but cannot find the answer through a search. Can someone advise what time the shows are likely to start on our Two week Med cruise next May?

 

Whilst we were on her this year we didnt really go to the shows but since there are four of us next time round, and we are select dining, I was going to pre reserve some evening meals but want to coordinate around the show times.

We've done three cruises on the Eclipse in May and the shows have generally been 8pm and 10pm. :)

The answer lies in the paper that you get each and every day in your state room

 

1 early 7pm. Formal show 8pm.

 

2 late show 2 hrs later. Formal same

Just back (hours ago) from the Eclipse and your info is still 100% accurate. We should add that the popular (and somewhat controversial) Perry Grant usually did a show from 7:30 - 8:30 and then came back at 10 and performed to at least 11:30. Perry has turned Michael's into "Perry's" as that is his home on the Eclipse.

Perry is in fine form...having mostly recovered from some kind of respiratory infection (he said it was a fungal infection). Perry is certainly one of those entertainers that generates strong opinions both pro and con. Personally, we like to go to Perry's shows once or twice a cruise as his "schtick" never changes and can get a bit tiring (except for his many fans). Our personal favorite onboard was the Ray Brown Quartet who are a very talented smooth jazz group that often plays in the Ensemble Lounge. To be very honest, we found most of the music groups onboard to be very talented. The glaring exception was the main show group (4 singers and a group of dancers) who we found quite amateurish. In fact, we did not think 3 of the 4 singers would have made-it in a high school musical (1 female singer was pretty good). Celebrity really needs to go back to the drawing boards when it comes to their production shows (and their sound system) with the exception of the always entertaining Cirque-type show. There is an awful lot of great young singers looking for cruise ship jobs...and Celebrity seems to find a way to not hire any of them :(.

We were on for nov 30th and they were usually at 7 and 9 but they were pretty awful many people walking out. The circus and one comedian, buzz, was good. We usually went to the movies instead.

Just got off of the Nov 30 cruise and thought that the shows and lounge entertainers were rather lacking and not up to the the same level as on the other ships. Also thought the the CD was the worse that we ever had. Was discussing this with another passenger and a worker over heard us and told us that he was fired from other ships so we weren't alone on that opinion. If that is true I don't know why they kept him.
