Excursions for eastern Caribbean (Indy Jan. 18)

I've booked some excursions for my upcoming cruise and would love to hear feedback from anyone who has done any of these:

 

Walking tour on Labadee

We love snorkeling.

 

The whole snorkeling then rum punch thing is so much fun. We are completely addicted to those cheesy but such a blast excursions.

 

Our picks:

 

St. Thomas: the Powercat excursion. I think there are two companies, and they are pretty much equal, and so much fun. I think the excursion for Virgin Breeze is better for snorkeling, but the Bimini Breeze excursion has a cast of characters that make it very entertaining. We liked both, but probably the Bimini Breeze better.

 

St. Kitts: not offered by RCI. The Blue Safari excursion. See if you can get a group of people on your roll call together to book this up. You won't be sorry.

 

Never been to a excursion on St. Maarten.

Seriously, you are paying for a "walking tour" on Labadee? Save your money and cancel! There are maps and guides all over the small island. Just walk around on your own.

I was considering canceling the walking thing. I've never been there so I thought it might be worth it but I really have no clue.

The Scenic Train Tour was actually very much better than we expected. Fun way to see St. Kitts! Go for it! :D

 

Rethink a walking tour of Labadee. Very easy to do on your own. You don't need a guided tour.

 

Have fun whatever you decide. :)

Our cruise doesn't leave for another few weeks but we are doing the Bacardi tour on our own...we didn't book it through the ship :)

 

As for Labadee, we decided it wasn't worth doing an excursion for this stop because the part of the island that the ship goes to is very small....so we're just going walk around a bit and then go to the beach :)

 

For St. Kitts we booked a "Full Island Tour" excursion through a reputable tour company on the island :)

Thanks everyone. I cancelled the walking tour. The train tour is expensive but sounds fun.

 

I can't wait to get away from this cold. Supposed to be a high of 19 degrees tomorrow. What?!!
