Do you have to use your sign and sail card to play the slots or can you use cash??

I know the card works like a "reward card" like Atlantic City but I'd prefer to use cash on this trip.

Sailing on Splendor..2/13. First Carnival cruise.

Thanks,

Pam

Just got off the Breeze on Saturday. We used cash at the table games (roulette) and in the slots (various). Any cash out or pay out goes on your sign & sail card. But you just take it to the cashier to get your cash. We noticed the Poker table worked a little differently but didn't pay much attention so I can't comment on it.

If you don't use your sign and sail card then how does a payout go on your card??

Always keep your card in the machine while you are playing to accumulate reward points. For every 1000 points the machine will pay you $10. When you get to 1500 points you can go to the casino cage and get the "On Us" drinks card for free drinks while playing.

They want your cash.

For poker you have to add money to your sign and sail card in a separate category. You go up to the cage and tell them how much you want to use for poker, hand them the cash, and they set up the poker account on your card. Cashing out is the regular process.

Just wondering how much does one spend to earn 1500 points.... for free drinks.

$2.50 for every one point. You don't have to actually spend that out of pocket. You could in theory, put in a $10 bill and if you are lucky and keep winning, and losing and winning, you could rack up the 1000 or 1500 points. It's highly unlikely but it's possible. You get the point for every $2.50 that goes through the machine, either through using your winnings or adding more. In the long run, it's cheaper to just buy your own drinks.

When you set up the casino account on your S&S card, it's completely separate from your S&S account. It's the only way you can get cash winnings from the slots. They do not pay out in paper like the land based casinos do. You cash out onto the card, take your card to the casino cage and tell them you want to cash out. After they scan your card, you enter your PIN on a small keypad on the counter. Then they give you your cash.

Like a PP said, it's $2.50 coin in.....so it's a combination of your money, your winnings and how friendly the machine is being.

I usually budget $100 a day for the casino......I start out playing 1 or 2 cent machines, then quarter machines and only on my winnings play $1 or $5 machines. I never spin the reels with less than max credits in the machine.......NOT EVER.....I did not win a considerable sum of money (6 figures) by having $2 in a $3 machine.

Sometimes I get to 1500 points by the evening of day 2, but sometimes it's been day 5..........I was on a B2B on the Breeze last year and didn't get to 1500 points until the evening of day 5........When I went to get the card I spoke to the casino host to see if they would be willing to let me have the card on the 1st day of the next cruise and they said yes........yeah!!!!!.......but between getting the card and the last night of the cruise......I ended up winning enough money to pay off my S&S card (with the Cheers program for 2) and enough extra to pay for the Cheers program for the next cruise.

Poker and Slots are two different accounts. You can transfer money from your slots account to your poker account or you can charge money to your sign and sail account to play poker or you can go to the casino cage and give them cash and have them put it on your poker account.
