Price drop and sales perks

Our Alaska cruise June 4th on the Island just dropped in price $180.00. When I called Princess they told me I would lose the 3 for free perks, Photo, bottle of wine and $100.00 OBC..We don't care so much about the wine or photo, so I look at it as though we would only save $80.00 because of losing the OBC. Is this typical for Princess to do when there is a price drop? At this point we are thinking to wait and hope for a more substantial price drop.

This was a special sale with definite terms and conditions. This is another instance of having a good travel agent pays off. I would read the terms and conditions of this particular promo and call Princess again if price drops are not excluded in the terms and conditions.

I'm sure you know that after final payment there are no changes. Don't wait too long to make your decision.

The same thing happened to us just prior to payment. The price dropped $200 per cabin, but we were told we would lose our 3 for free perks that included free specialty dining for two and $200 for excursion booking. We opted to keep the booking as is. We did have a TA.

The free bottle of "champagne" was created to our account at only $16, so that's no big loss at all. The photo is $25 and you might well buy one.

But, is the OBC you're losing per person or per cabin? If per cabin, you save 2x $180 and only lose $100 + $25 + $16.

Your booking was under one sale and cvame with those offers.

Current pricing is a new sale without those offers.

So if you prefer the current sale, you give up what the previous sale included.

Our OBC is $50.00 pp so $100.00 total and the price drop is 1 X $180.00 so I guess using your numbers, only saving about $40.00.
