Price of the lobster roll

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me the price of the lobster roll at ocean blu on the waterfront of breakaway? hd is dying to try it and would like to know the cost. Thanks in advance.

This is from an article I found:

"Takeout offerings include crab toast, crackling calamari and lobster rolls, at prices from $4.75 to $9.75."

So I am guessing the LR is 9.75. Enjoy!

$9.75 is inexpensive for a lobster roll. Legal Seafood in Boston charges market price and is sometimes more than $20.00 for a lobster roll. Wonder if the lobster is the "rock" lobster?

Yeah, but that's Legal Seafood. My local place in MA was selling lobster for $2.99 lb and lobster rolls with on whole lobster for about $5.

Bet Ocean Blu is not putting a whole lobster in!!!

Can you send me a dozen of them @ $2.99 a lb, they want $10 a lb in the supermarkets in philly.

I agree that under $10 for a lobster roll on the ship is reasonable.

We have a restaurant in downtown Philadelphia that charges $99 for a lobster cheese steak, so we'll have to try some on the ship.

Here on the coast of Maine $9.75 for a lobster roll is ballpark (stuffed in a hotdog bun, $40 stuffed into a hoagie). Even when the lobster price dove to a recent low of $1.99 per pound boat price, the lobster rolls specials were in the $5-$6 range most places (hotdog bun size).

I grew up eating lobster almost nightly, we were a lobster fishing family. I now don't eat it more than yearly. Cooked or steamed the correct way, I don't mind rock lobster either.

As a side bar:

I remember as a kid we always had clams we dug up from out on the flats in front of our house. Mussels were everywhere. No one ate them, they were said to be a nusance "garbage". Now folks go ape over them. What next? Buckets of periwinkles in lemon butter?
