Had a blast without getting suckered in to the extras, did the 8 day and had a 92/pp charge on the room, had drink coupons and used em, went to the free party, watched people lose in the casino, didnt buy pictures, or t shirts/bingo

 

-Aruba took the bus to the high rise hotel district for 2 bucks and went to the beach

-Curacao hung out on the floating bridge took lots of pics on a long walk

-D.R. watched a baseball game free

-Grand Turk went to the beach and hung out free

 

Total room bill for 8 days just gratuity $184.00

Cost of the cruise with the free in mail voucher taxes/port fees $192.00

 

Grand total for cruise charges $376.00=awesome!!

Great example of you can have a great cruise and not spend your inheritance. We do about the same. Don't need a booze cruise, many ports have city cheap transportation or great beaches nearby. Our buget is tight and have an even better time knowing we haven't gone over it. Happy for those who have bigger budgets, tho.

to watch other people lose 5-50 a hand and its not your money, i drink when its free only, look at my pics and walk out the photolab, We do everything free like trivia and cleaned up

That is awesome. If we did more than 1 cruise a year (me and DF were talking about doing a cruise just us, no kid!) we would have to do things much cheaper.

Well, I agree with you.. and I would like it known that we typically spend thousands of dollars while on board... we buy every picture they take, play Bingo every chance they give us and buy gold chain by the yard!... (yes we need a sarcasm font) :-)

Yes, good job! I did not do as well as you on my free cruise, I spent $1200 in the casino, so I definetly paid :D but....I had a great time too! Free drinks by the first night, so that was nice :D

Don't you purchase drink vouchers ahead of time that is the same as cash? If so, you should add that in because that money was spent either way that you go.

Your post has inspired me to re evaluate my "free" cruise in June to Alaska. The excursions are very expensive. If we take the 2 that we want it will come to more than the port charges, tax and upgrade fees that I paid to go on the cruise. My DH reminded me when I went over my wants, "remember this is a free cruise". That's what I said when I talked him into it! Lol! It is great to see that you had tons of fun for a low price. I think we might have to do the same as this is a bonus vacation (we already had Maui planed and booked for August). Thanks again for the review.

U only need 1000 on a five night cruise and I got that the first night, most points I've ever had in a cruise was 5400 on an 8 niter ;)
