We are doing back to backs NZ/AUS with 4 nights between in Sydney. Can anyone advise best hotel or B&B near cruise port in Sydney? I understand the dock to be used in Sydney will be White Bay Cruise Terminal.

Any sightseeing advise appreciated as well. Our first time to that region.

We loved the Park Hyatt! You cannot beat the location.

We just left the Park Hyatt this morning- without a doubt a fantastic hotel. Great location, excellent service. It is very expensive, if possible use Hyatt Gold Passport points. The Holiday Inn in the Rocks looked like a good location as is the Marriott.

White Bay Cruise terminal is a bit outside the city area and you will need to take a taxi to get there .

We like Metro on Pitt (Metro Hotel on Pitt St) . Good value, inhouse restaurant. Close to Town Hall station .

From Airport take train to City and alight at TOWN HALL . A short 5 minute walk to hotel very central.

Book on line via Hotel website to avoid paying middleman commissions.

We spent a week in Sydney following a cruise in 2011. Our hotel was in the Circular Quay area, and we found the area very convenient. We liked the hotel and area so much that we have booked the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay again for a stay in Sydney later this year.
