Thanks again Chris for taking the time to do the review. My husband and I have been following along with your reviews and we so want to go on Allure soon! It's great to pick up information from everyone posting. I've never tried Sushi but your lunch looked delicious. (Wonder if we should try it when we book...maybe they have a sampler for us noobs..lol) Sorry your having to depart tomorrow. Have a safe trip home!

wow, thank you so much chris for this great review and picture cruise.

It is going to be really hard to wait until february 2016 before i can board this beautiful ship.

I do have a few questions.

1. Are there life vests in each cabin? I had heard that they are not, that if there is an emergency you need to all go someplace to get them. I envision total confusion. lifejackets are given out at your muster station

2. I know there are specialty restaurants that charge a fee, but what else do you pay for on this ship? Like breakfast at johnny rockets? zip line, ice skating, cotton candy? Are the hot dogs free? all free, except cotton candy?

3. Is there a charge for any of the shows? Comedy show? all free

4. If you choose assigned dining instead of my time, do you sit in the main dining on the first floor or can you sit in the balcony area?

5. From what deck, which end, do you disembark at the various islands. all elevators have a special button labeled gangway. At port stops just push that button and you go to the right deck and follow the signs and other people.

i have cruised a lot but never on such a big ship with so much offered.

Thanks so much and sorry for all the questions. Hope you are enjoying your last night.

this ship is easy to get around

No life vests in the cabin. There is no confusion, the safety drill is done very well ~

No charge for what you listed except Johnny Rockets which is 4.95 for lunch and dinner

Assigned dining is deck 3 and 4

Getting off at the ports is always exit at deck 3 and follow the gangway signs.

Just want to add the life vests are at each lifeboat you are assigned to. If there is a real emergency you gather at your assigned muster station and RCI crew assigned to your muster will lead you to your lifeboat where there will be life vests.

I thought Chef Michael was on the Oasis and the lady chef was on Allure. I wonder if they switched places.

She's been gone awhile. Schwartz handles the CP 150's on both ships. The menu is the same on both ships and seems to change less frequently now.

Also, just wanted to add that there are life vests stowed literally everywhere around the ship. In passenger corridors, near dining places, next to shops, by the casino, etc. They're not out in the open but, if one is observant, labeled access areas can be seen for them all over the Allure.

Curious as to what those strange lights are in the sky?????/

Looks like the ships lights reflecting on the glass to me. I assume the picture is taken through a window (there appears to be a window frame on the right of the picture)

Good point. I did indeed take the photo from inside Izumi

I take back what I said....I think you have a great phone camera...it takes very good low light sharp pictures! You've done an outstanding job. Thanks for taking us along with you and I am hoping you have a very safe flight back home. You have shown us why you do what you do! Your "live from" reviews are awesome! Thanks!

Thank you. The camera does a good job but I am hoping I can get the Nikon repaired. The quality is better on that one

Chris,

We are looking at a flight around 2 ish as well. What is the latest you can leave the ship? Is everything pretty much shut down and you just sit around this a.m.? I remember way in the past on my cruises, the last morning was made to be pretty painful the last morning probably in an effort to make people not want to stay. Like no hot breakfast, etc. In fact, I remember them making us all sit on a crowded NCL cruiseship because some people had not settled up their tabs. I'm glad those days are over.

Thanks again,

Debbie
