Conquest why only 4 stars?

I noticed most of Carnival's ships score a 4.5 star rating but a few like the Conquest only has 4 stars? Just wondering what the difference is, specifically between the Conquest and the Legend (which is 4.5 and a smaller ship). Dh and I have never cruised on Carnival (only on Disney and NCL) and are on the fence about which ship to book. We debated between the Breeze and the Legend, Breeze is newer and has more dining options but the Legend has a better itinerary and is 7 day opposed to 6 day (pricing is similar). We thought we had decided on the Breeze but then we saw a sailing on the Conquest that has the same itinerary as the Legend but seemed to have more dining options on the ship but it has a lower star rating than the Legend. Can anyone tell me why this is? Is there anything "wrong" with the Conquest? How does it compare to the Breeze or Legend?

Sorry if this post is confusing but we need to make a decision asap since I summer promo ends tomorrow.

I would take those stars with a grain of salt. They are there because somebody posted a review. Not everyone posts reviews. If only five people post a review and one of them is bad, it lowers the rating. If fifty post a review and one of them is bad, it doesn't change the rating that much.

We have cruised on six different Carnival ships and not one of them has been bad. Some have been better than others, but none of them have been bad.

I would cruise on the Conquest in a heartbeat if it was going where I wanted to go.

I would agree with the pp........ratings are not something I ever give much thought to. Some people will complain about everything......some people are just cheerleaders.

I've been on 14 Carnival ships and I've been on the Conquest 9 times. I would definitely pick either the Conquest (for the itinerary) or the Breeze because she's the newest.

Those extra dining venue's you mention are important, and the Breeze has even more than the Conquest.......so if the 6 day is all you can afford I would go with the Breeze.......but if you really like the itinerary of the Conquest you'll still have a blast.

Keep in mind though that the ports are pretty much all alike.....so alike that for us after 32 cruises we rarely get off the ship anymore, so ship amenities are important to us.

The only reason we won't sail the Conquest again is that we'd have to travel across the country.

We're very spoiled having several ports within driving distance.

we loved the conquest!!:) but, the shows were bad in our opinion. no show band and I thought the worst shows we have seen on 14 carnival cruises.

will I go on the conquest again, I would but visit the casino more!:D

Just off the Conquest last week. I would sail her again in a heartbeat. Loved this ship, the decor is subtle, crew is fantastic, the itinerary was wonderful(except for Nassau) great food. Been on the Elation, Splendor, and Glory(would sail her again too).
