Live music out near the pools?

We'll be on Freedom of the Seas in September.

 

One of the things we missed on our last cruise on Carnival was the live music poolside at sail away, and other times. I know all cruise lines have cut back, and I don't expect it to be all day/every day, but will there ever be live music out on the pool deck on Freedom?

Yes. Royal Caribbean still uses pool bands on all ships. You'll get a mix of DJ's and bands.

We were just on the Allure and that's the one thing we missed the most. We were at the Beach Pool for all 3 sea days and there was only one day that they had the band out there playing music. We were all disappointed. It's one of the things we love about laying poolside on sea days.... hoping it's just the large ship.

Just off Majesty and there was an excellent Caribbean band onbaord, Initiative, but they hardly played. Out of 4 days, they only played twice by the pool....and once on CocoCay. They need to play more!!

My last cruise was on Carnival, too and I felt the same way about music by the pool. I'm not sailing again for 10 months, hopefully there is still music on RCI

They had a band on the Navigator.

It took them an hour to set up. Check one, check, check, check two, etc,

They played 4 songs.

Then went on a 40 min break.

 

After that the weather go crappy so nobody saw the rest.....

IMO Royal Caribbean pool bands are all very good however my all time favorite from their ships is Freedom's Men Of Culture.

 

I'm thinking of booking Freedom again just because Men Of Culture are there. :)
