Gambee, still hooked on your review, fantastic job!

Just wondering if the chocolate buffet is on all Carnival ships, also was it a final sea day Buffet or available daily on your cruise?

Yeah on last sea day as way said by Meadet.

And a naval ship? I love all type of vessels, so spotting them out in the ocean is always a blast. I wish I had my zoom lens at that time, but that is what I get for taking my NEX with me.

Great review thus far. Looks like the USS FARRAGUT an Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer from Mayport Florida.

Gambee....I love your reviews....but.....I will not read any more until you take a selfie or have someone take a picture of you and post it. Come on dude. You have gone through how many reviews now and haven't shown yourself? You can do without any fear. Many have met you now, and one of these days, someone will post a picture of you anyways, so you might as well take one that makes you look better

Here you go...the elusive Gambee, as spotted in the first video! :D

Gambee, the review is awesome and so are the videos. Never, ever thought I'd consider Carnival until reading this...but I'll have to reconsider because I think the kids would love it! Thanks for taking the time!

It's really a nice picture...but detail would be nice....I'm sure Gambee has nothing to be ashamed about.....he just likes being incognito. :D

But come on Gambee.....enquiring minds want to know....what do you look like in case we are on the Breeze the same time as you?

We want to see your smiling face! Come on Gambee....just this once....

I loved your review and let me know how your new camera turns out. I am assuming the lenses you had with the NEX will work just fine on your a6000?

I read a few good reviews on your camera. Good luck with that.....now.......

JUST STEP IN FRONT OF IT WHILE THE SHUTTER IS CLICKING ! :D

For the record, and I think the whole roll call can vouch for this, Gambee is a super nice guy in person. He was a lot.of fun to hang around. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this review. I am sad that it is almost over because now it really feels like the cruise is over. Hopefully we will meet again someday!

Gambee thanks again for another great review and i agree with you 1000% fttf is a waste of $50 because like you we boarded 5 min after fttf.

We flew in to Miami the day of, and got to the port around 1:30pm. Their were hundreds of people to the right waiting to check-in and less than 10 in fttf line on left. Also, tendering to HMC without fttf took about an hour (a few cruises ago). Waiting in the lounge with our trusty tender numbers was not fun. With fttf this cruise we walked right on. It depends on the circumstsnces. Very helpful with our 5 and 7 year old boys. Saved us tons of time.

Hello Gambee (and Gambee's Mom, too!)!

So glad to be again reading one of your wonderful reviews. Have never been aboard a Carnival ship. I cruised out of Ft. Lauderdale the same day you left out of Miami. Did a transatlantic and ended up in London and toured the city for a few days before returning home. I've been trying to catch up with this thread, but still can't seem to do that as I'm only up to page 25 now!!! Your reviews take me so much longer to read, as there is simply no way to quickly go through any of your wonderful photos, such beautiful photography (as usual).

Will be cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale in late January - still hoping that some day we can meet up for one of those great Martinis I owe you (remember, after the Allure review?). Perhaps January will do it.

Glad you enjoyed the Breeze! We were in a cove balcony to the Med on the Magic and loved it! Carnival certainly seems to have more free dining options than some other lines. Great review! What's next??

Thank you Gambee for the great review as always. Thanks to you (and Carnival's no single supplement sale going on now) I'm considering Carnival for the first time.

Just one question, and sorry if you've covered this already and I missed it, but how was the smoking situation? I thought I read somewhere that Carnival allows smoking indoors in certain parts of the ship like NCL and on balconies - just wondering if that was ever a problem?

Thanks again,

Andrew

I think you can smoke on the balconies, I also saw people smoking in the casino. Quite honestly I did not smell smoke anywhere in ship, neither in the casino. They seem to have a very strong ventilation system in place, and it works wonders. Nothing like it was on Breakaway. My eyes are actually very sensitive to smoke, they never on irritated on this cruise.

I really am enjoying your review! When you book your cove balcony, please make sure that you are not under the galley. You want to be under the Dining room or the Atrium. The galley gets very noisy during the night as they have a lot of prep work to do and a lot of moving trays and such. You will love your cove, they are more reasonable then the regular balconies and IMO, they are the best deal….

Thank you for the heads up, I would not had thought of that unless you mentioned before.

Gambee, my daughter got scratched the couple of times she went on the orange slide too. And I think she bumped her head too - not sure how, I never went on those things! So after that she avoided the orange slide, the yellow slide was definitely her favorite. I didn't realize they had to be 42 inches to ride it, at 43 inches she just made it! I swear she looked like the tiniest thing climbing up there, lol.

Hmmm, maybe its something that happens often? Not sure, but they 2 times I went on it I ended up bleeding. Not horrible, but still.

Just started reading your review & have finished Page 1. 43 more to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you like it :)

I still haven't finished your review. Thank you for the video.

Glad you liked them, they are so much work. But it is all worth it just from knowing that they come in useful.

gambee...thanks for the review. The Breeze is the last ship I was on. You brought back a lot of fond and fun memories.:D

You're very welcome, I will miss this review and Breeze once I am done. It was like I was on a extended vacation, with a lot of great people with me.

Thank you for posting input on this, my knowledge to military vessels is non existent. But if it floats, I love it! :D

Gambee,

Just loving your review! I swore never to get on a Carnival ship after a 3 day cruise to Mexico out of Los Angeles about 15 years ago, but you have changed my mind and we have a booked an 8 day Southern on the Breeze next May! Also, I am loving my Nex 3 which I purchased after reading your Allure review. Thank you so much for your really engaging commentary and your terrific photography.

It seems like a great company to sail with kids, the kids area was very comparable "in size" to the Disney Dream. Although of course it looked nothing like it. But still they had lots of activities, you should give it a try.

I guess it is all subjective. If I had kids, maybe my opinion would be different. But for my cruising situation it would had been a complete waste of money.

Gambee I liked the pools on FOS. Even though they were kind of crowded. The way its set up never felt too crowded. But I spent most of the time in the Solarium. Love the Adult sections.

You have to love those solariums, I miss that on the Breakaway and Breeze. But I tend to adjust to ship that I am sailing on. From all my sailings I think Breakaway has the worst pool setup out there.

No worries Ellen I am still waiting for that Martini :D

Not sure, it is very likely that we will board Divina this August, but it is not written in stone yet. After that maybe Regal in March/april? Still have to check which ships will be here, but you know me, I try to sail different lines/ships when possible.

Thank you :), that is strong post you did there. I really hope that your Breeze cruise is as good as mine was. Mom will be doing that southern one at one point or another, just have to make sure that the days align.

Once again thank you :)
