Fitness Centre on HAL ships

Sorry I should know this but I admit I have never used it... Anyhow, I am just wondering if there is an extra charge for the fitness centre? I know there is a cost to use certain spa things like the thermal pool etc, but what about the fitness centre (not classes). TIA.

It is mostly free; they do offer pay-to-participate classes like Pilates, yoga, etc. but the do-it-yourself stuff is completely free.

The treadmills, and free weights have no charge. The spin machines, pilates and yoga cost approx.. $11.00 per session. I just hop on the treadmill and use the free weights. The tai chi classes in the am are free of charge also.

DH takes his own head phones for the treadmills. For the most part HAL keeps the equipment in good shape.

The special classes on our last cruises were $12 a session.

If they are like the treadmills on the ship I was on, you need your own earphones because the sound is muted.
