Balcony rooms on the Miracle ?

I'm going to be on on the Miracle on June 24th. I got the Free cruise letter and they gave me a choice of obstructive view balconies. I chose one on the upper deck so the view isn't too bad. I just did a mock booking and there are balcony cabins still available with un obstructed views but they're all along the atrium. For those who have been on this ship, how are the cabins along the Atrium? Would I regret changing if they let me or would it be a good idea?

Thanks in advance!

Linda

The first three lifeboats are taller and block more of your view but it is not the end of the world. From pictures it looks like the first 3 lifeboats are about two feet taller and come up to about the guard rail in height.

I think I can live with that. But I did email my PVP to see about changing to a reg. balcony room or upgrading. The only reg. balcony rooms left are right in line with the atrium and some are by the stairs and elevators. I wouldn't take a room right by the elevator but I might consider one off the Atrium if it was OK. Just wanted to get some opinions to see if I'm better to stay put or if I should jump on a room change.

Being near the elevators is not a negative for me. My last miracle room 6232 was right next to the elevator area and didn't hear a peep. Even though the rooms are close to the elevator there is enough separation you won't have any problems.

I am recently off the Miracle. I had room 4179 which was just off the Atrium. I had no noise and never even noticed I was near the Atrium. I would definitely pick this room again. The life boats from deck 5 would obstruct your view but I also chose to avoid deck 5 because Camp Carnival is forward deck 5 and I was concerned kids running the halls would be a bit much. I spent so much time on my balcony, I would not want any obstructions - there is soooo much to see! Enjoy your cruise!

You'd be fine in a stateroom overlooking the atrium, that's a great location ;). I cruised on the Miracle 6 times, and about 3 of those times was in a stateroom near (overlooking) the atrium.

We actually love the balcony rooms near the double set of elevators in the center of the ship! We always book a cabin in that area! It is easy to get around and no noise.

We have done the same for years, either balcony on deck 7 or 8. Have never had a serious noise issue from the Atrium/elevators or stairs. 1 or 2 flights up to Lido. A few decks down for MDR-Shops-Casino. Our prefered location.

The cabins by the atrium will not get "noise" from the atruim.

The hall does NOT open to the atrium as there are walls there in the passenger halls. The hall opens at 5200 and 5196 or 5197 and 5201 only

the stairs/elevators are in a bank

Thanks everyone for your help. I just called Carnival and under the promotion I have I can not upgrade at this time. Oh well. I'm so appreciative of the bonus vacation. Thanks again!

You can however switch cabins to one that is by one of the last 3 life boats. Try that. :)

Or any of the 52xx cabins would work too.
