Half Year Sale/Easy Saver

Recommended Posts

If you booked EARLY Saver (not easy) then you can price match. You still retain Early Saver status. You are eligible for price reductions up to a few days prior to sail date.

I'm not sure what you options are if you are booked Easy Saver, but I think they are more limited.

IF you are booked with any rate besides Early Saver you still get all price reductions but ONLY up until you make final payment! Then no more after that. Early Saver allows price reductions after you've made final payment.

It is Early Saver. Thanks both of you for your help.

I price matched for this Half Year sale this morning by calling carnival. Got a savings of 50.00 added to OBC. By the time I got home from work my particular category had gone back up by 40.00. Glad I called when I did.

We are past final payment and I always book Early Saver. Called last week and got $150 onboard credit with the Dream Vacation Sale. Called today and got another $150 onboard credit with the Half Year Sale! Just a few more weeks to go. Might get another price drop because there are still plenty of cabins available. Life is good!

There's a better sale for VIFP members check your cruise deals section/past guest offers. Didn't know about it until I called in.

Good to know! I did get my $100 price reduction. Shows up on my statement as a payment. That seemed weird. Had to email my PVP as the price protection form wouldn't click through last night.

Another one was added yesterday to the vifp with $200 obc. Check again :)

On another note... this is my first time as ES. I called in for my adjustment and received new statement via email. Do I still have to submit the price protection form? The carnival rep didnt tell me anything about it.

You guys sure are lucky. Not only do I not receive the free cruises but I don't even have any special offers except the two category upgrade. Certainly nothing with OBC. Maybe someday we'll receive something.

Try signing in, click on cruise deals, past guest. It will generate offers exclusive to you. Good luck!

I never get a free cruise either :( I think the casino generates those and I surely dont spend enough there.

No, I even checked again and there is nothing. Maybe because we're Diamond Carnival doesn't feel the need to give us anything extra. Maybe someday we'll receive one of the coveted free cruises.

so is this particular sale one of their better ones? I'm looking at maybe booking our 1st carnival cruise on the Breeze for this Nov. Should I book now or wait for a better deal?

I'm concerned about the non-refundable deposit, would be $250 for the 5 of us.

I have three cruises booked, Sept, Jan, and March. All are currently higher than what I originally paid last winter. So, from this, I guess I got a really good deal then. If I get an OBC prior to each cruise, bonus. If not, then what I paid is really good for the trip.

I don't think that is it. I haven't gotten any fun offers either. The OBC one doesn't show for me either.

this seems like pretty good rates. If you know you are going on the trip, the $50 is a darn good deposit. Plus, if you can book Easy Saver, which for the ones I have looked at is the same price, if it goes down more, they will adjust your rate.

Don't forget to check your cabin mate's VIFP number, I never get the deals, the wife always has something.

Except this time. No deals, Price is the same as it was in febuary when I booked, but 3.00 per person more in taxes.

Not for everyone. My daughter got the offer but the rest of the family, three of us, did not. It's killing me too because we need two cabins.

I never thought of that! Thanks for the suggestion. Who knows...maybe I have a free cruise waiting for us after all!
