Taxi to Orient Beach

Does anyone know how much a taxi would be for a family of 5 to Orient Beach? Also do they then charge you per person to get into the beach? Not sure if the 3 1/2 hour excursion thru NCL for $49 is a better deal.

Yes, the beach is free but the beach chairs & umbrellas aren't.

If you order a few drinks or something to eat you can sit in the shade for no added price in the dining area. If you want to be surfside then you need to rent a chair.

 

No charge for sitting on your towel. :)

What would you get for $245 through NCL? My guesstimate would be that the return taxi ride for 5 would be $70 and beach chairs/umbrellas often with a drink thrown in are about $10 pp taking the cost up to $120. You can also stay the whole day if you would like. Unless the excursion covers food and drinks I just can't see it being worth it. Taxis are easy to get both ways so I would recommend just doing Orient Beach on your own. This beach is very long and has a lot of food and drink options as well. :)
