How wet is the "wet" season?

Just wondering how many excursions might be rainy in the winter in a circle of Hawaii tour. I'm looking at late November or December.

It is rainiest in the mountains, generally. We have been there many times in those months, and rain has rarely hindered us. Yes, it can be wet, but that has never stopped us. And it is warm when it rains.

It will rain somewhere on some island/s almost everyday....rainy season or not! Mountains in the middle of the ocean cause rain!

Yeah, the day we went around Oahu it was sunny and hot on the North Shore, then as we continued our circle around the east side it started to rain. By the time we got back to Waikiki it was sunny again. This was February.:)

It's rare to have a rained out day & even when it rains many times a short distance away it's sunny. You can view average monthly weather summaries for Maui which gives you an idea of what to expect on Hawaiian islands.

The West Maui mountains average 350" of rain per year but very little of it where people go. Kauai's Mt Waialeale is the wettest recorded spot in the world averaging 450" per year & why it's the Garden Isle. You don't say which island your "circle of Hawaii" tour will be so it's difficult to provide a better answer. There are many microclimates in Hawaii from cactus to ferns.
