So here is one of the few videos I took on this cruise. You have to watch it!!!! If you don't see it, you're not my friend! No, just kidding. But for real, you have to see it!

Jetlinner taking off!!!

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! LIKE THE MAILMAN SAYS, YOU GET A FREE FACIAL!!! THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!

This was the highlight of my vacation!

WOW! So amazing! I can only imagine the winds if it had been a 747. Gambee may have been blow away! ;)

We plan to go to St Maarten on Allure in March and Maho is one of the things I am most looking forward to as I've never been to the island before.

Service that day was the fastest out of the entire cruise, since we sat until we left, it was 1:45, still way too long for us. There should be some sort of option for passengers who dislike the European style dinner. Personally, I think MSC should dedicate one MDR to my time dinning.

I don't understand why they don't offer anytime dining even though I am not a fan. I think the more "formal" dinners at sea [at least in terms of service if not in attire] are one of the highlights of ocean travel. So far I've only sailed with CCL and NCL but we always do set dining on CCL. I find the service is generally better with fixed dining than with "freestyle" dining like Norwegian. You really seem to dislike it though and I'm sure others do as well so MSC should take note. Offer something for everyone!

On a side note, I have eaten at Eataly in NYC on several occasions and it really is fabulous. I wonder if the shipboard one is as good. At least you can always try it out on land next time you're in NY though!

I love how well this picture came out, Mailman was a bit worried that the sailboat was going to interfere with the larger aircraft's path and they had to make a second go around. Oh, by the way this is the #3 most dangerous Airport in the world? I think, I should have taken more notes.

Gambee I can't zoom in on your picture but I'm pretty sure the one on the left is the Random Wind. We sailed on her 2 weeks ago today when we were in St. Maarten on our Breeze cruise (we left the day you got back and by the way the Divina is a magnificent vessel). The Random Wind makes a stop there to watch the planes but you also get to sail, snorkel, jump off a trapeze swing, eat a fantastic lunch and the open bar never closes ;). Many on the cruise went on Bernards tours. Loving your review and we loved the Breeze too by the way.:D

Gambee: did you notice if the casino is smoking or non? We have both smokers and non that are taking Divina on Sept 27 and we are curious. Appreciate all the hard work on your VERY in depth and INCREDIBLY helpful review. Thanks in advance for your answer. Much appreciated. Your neighbor in FLL, Shawn.

Hey Gambee, loving your review, as usual. I am so glad to see how excited you were at Maho. Sometimes, I think I'm the only airplane nerd. The first time I went there was also on a Bernard's tour with tons of ships in port, and we had fun but it was crowded and we didn't see too many planes. The second time was just in May of this year and I planned that day out like a General preparing for battle. Needless to say, we were the First people on Maho which is saying something since we were coming from the Oasis. I love that beach so much. We are going back over Thanksgiving and staying at the hotel on the opposite side from the Sunset bar. Cannot wait. The beach isn't always that small. It was perfect in May. Keep up the excellent work!!!

I definitely plan on going back, but next time I am heading to Maho all day. I was wondering what there was on the other side of the Sunset Bar. I was hoping that I could rent some lounges for my mom there.

Thank you for your kind comment :)

I think that is one of my major complaints. I have grown spoiled all the other lines offering my time dinning. Hopefully they will implement this soon, that will make the ship much more appealing to us.

I was not aware that Eataly was a restaurant outside of their line. I might have to try it one day :)

That sounds like a nice option, but I you cannot get as close to the planes. I think that is what I like the most about Maho. It would be a nice option, for maybe our third or fourth time there. Thank you for the info, I will probably look it up in the future.

I commented on how the casino did not smell at all. Then someone commented on the review that the casino is non smoking. I cannot confirm that, but I will tell you that it did not smell. I also never noticed anyone smoking. They are most likely correct.

Casino is non smoking and so is most of the ship. No smoking o balconies. I think the only place is on the starboard see around the pool and i the cigar room.

Hi, Ganbee. Loved your pictures of St. Marten. Are you ever going on Disney cruise? I know you love Disney, and the cruise ships are wonderful especially the Aqua Duck water coaster. With all the running around on this cruise, you will need a vacation from your vacation. ha,ha. Gary:p

Hi Gambee

Loving your review. We are on MSC Divina on 20th September for a B2B. It is our first ever cruise.

Did your Aunt get a birthday cake for her birthday? I will be celebrating my 50th birthday whilst on board.

No, we never got one. We got the invitation to a specialty restaurant and that they would make one. But we would have to pay extra for the dinner. I think you can just request one in the MDR. But honestly, they know its your Bday, they should have done something for her.

My advice is to request it at the beginning of the dinner.

Happy early birthday.

The casino is 100% smoke free Bashfu. However,,you can smoke an e-cig, at least I was allowed to sitting at the tables,,not sure about the slots though. There is also no drink service unless you are sitting at the tables, sorry slot players,,you have to get your own!!!

Day 5, San Juan, Puerto Rico

The night before we had all agreed to try to get out early so we had the most time on the island to tour. By the time I woke we were pulling into port and they had already eaten breakfast without me, the audacity! :D

I took some pictures from the balcony and then I told them that I was going to get some pictures from upstairs and some food. I still had plenty of time to do so.

MSCDivinaDay5-1_zpsbf583b63.jpg

By the way this was the first time any of us went to San Juan.

MSCDivinaDay5-2_zpsfa852f95.jpg

My family was already enjoying the use of all of our telecommunication devices =)

MSCDivinaDay5-3_zpsbc549c97.jpg

The Carnival Glory was already docked.

The dock looked to be under construction, there was a lot of debris around.

This was the only panorama that I got in this cruise, they are really hard to do with this camera. I am not entirely sure why.

MSCDivinaDay5-26_zps55058b5a.jpg

After getting those pictures I went into the buffet and got some food to bring down to the room and eat there.

MSCDivinaDay5-27_zpsb29c3337.jpg

My stomach was a bit sore, so I only ate a small portion that day.

This was the only time that I ate on the balcony. I kind of miss that. I believe it had to do with being 4 in our group. It is considerably harder to coordinate things when the groups are larger. Usually mom and I eat in the room a few times each cruise.

MSCDivinaDay5-30_zps50248873.jpg

Mom noticed how clean and new the pilot boat looked.

MSCDivinaDay5-31_zpse7a63ccf.jpg

Soon enough our cruise director came up on the speakers and said that the ship had cleared port. We finished packing our belongings and headed down to the port.

Your usual towel stand, although I am not sure many people actually brought them into San Juan. It's a long ride to the beaches.

I got some really nice pictures of Divina that day!
