grandmaa Posted September 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Have any of the older Princess ships when they were in dry dock for major upgrades and renovations had their lighting system in the cabins modernized like the Regal and Royal? CruisinChris Posted September 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Extremely unlikely.
beg3yrs Posted September 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Extremely unlikely. Agreed. This would be a huge and expensive change to the cabins and if they did it, Princess would have been trumpeting the news from the mountain tops. Astro Flyer Posted September 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2014 The only new lighting I've seen is in remodeled Horizon Courts but not in the cabins.

piper28 Posted September 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2014 You're certainly not going to get things like the Regal and Royal, it'd be too expensive to retrofit something like that. That said, I did notice on my Caribbean Princess cruise in August that the desk lamps had been replaced since the cruise I did on the same ship in December. Nothing to write home about. (I think the bulbs might have been a slightly different color temperature too, but I think they were still florescent, and hadn't been replaced with led.)
