hlb76 Posted September 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2014 HEy all.. I know the BB will not get me free pop off the ship no matter what island. What I am wondering though is can I order unopened cans of pop to take off the ship with me. I was apart of a thread about taking unopened Beers off from cheers thinking this would work as well. hannahouse Posted September 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2014 BB works differently than the Cheers program - all soft drinks are served in glasses, and they won't give you a can.
jcearth Posted September 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I was able to get a full unopened can of soda a few times, but it was a difficult feat to pull off. If you try, do it directly with the bartender, as I had zero luck with servers (except when the casino manager bought a soda for me - I got the full unopened can then). Herbaltees Posted September 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Why doesn't BB work at HMC? Can you get water at the bar? Edited September 25, 2014 by Herbaltees
thomarvin Posted September 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I know it is silly . The cheers program doesnt work there either. being their private island i think it should.
hlb76 Posted September 25, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted September 25, 2014 They say its too hard to keep track of things as everything has to be hauled off the ship to the island. Well its not to hard to charge me for my drinks when there  Guessing that are hoping we dont take full advantage of our packages. marshhawk Posted September 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Order a six pack of sodas before you cruise (bon voyage department) keep 'em cool in your ice bucket, take them off the ship, and get ice at the bars. I wont fly to port with mine, but have ordered drinks to be delivered to the cabin.:)
hlb76 Posted September 26, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted September 26, 2014 We always carry on pop so no worries. I was just wondering if the process would work or not. We do get my kiddo the BB so he can grab a drink while out. I know he drinks WAY to much pop on vacation but its less of a hassle.

The sodas cost a lot more on board then they do in any of the ports. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Forums mobile app
SadieN Posted September 26, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 26, 2014 You can also bring soda in any port.

I can understand cheers because the registers would need to be synced with the ship to keep track of your count. But soda shouldn't be an issue. Oh well they make the rules, so it doesn't have to make sense. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
thomarvin Posted September 26, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 26, 2014 you can purchase adult beverages and some souvenirs on HMC with your S&S card so I don't get it. But like the other poster said. Their island, their rules.
