Krazy Kruizers Posted October 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2014 We have seen a couple of wooly catapillers who are suppose to be good predictors of the winter weather. This one was constantly running faster than I could get his picture: It appears that we should have a mild winter. We shall see.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Our neighbors start to decorate for Halloween at the end of September: The witch on the spinning wheels can only be seen in daylight:

shootr Posted October 12, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Is it safe to drive and take pictures at the same time? I'll put my skills in rural AZ at 5AM against any texting youngun any day!!! (Yes, I'm very careful I'm clear of vehicles before I attempt something like this). We bought a teardrop yesterday!
zackiedawg Posted October 15, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Quite a sight this past Saturday as a very large flock of vibrant pink roseated spoonbills arrived and flew over the wetlands: Note one white ibis flying with them wanted to pretend he was pink that day: There were upwards of 40 of them, and I couldn't fit them all in to one shot with my big lens: As some came down lower, I was able to use the long 600mm lens to get some nice closeups:
