After dinner we continued to pack and then headed down to the Amber Theatre for the All Ages Comedy Show. The same 2 comedians performed. We found Jim David to be a lot funnier than Phil Palisoul.

There wasn't a big turnout for this show

McKeva (I think I spelled that right) was the comedy host

James Brown performed all week in the Bow & Stern Pub. He was the pub entertainer on our Oasis trip last year and he was fantastic. I never went to see him this trip but When I walked but I never saw a big turnout for him. If you're on Allure and he's there give him a listen.

My last activity of the cruise was listening to Matt Ganim play in the Schooner Bar. Like us, this was his last night on the ship too.

Before bed I needed to stop at Cafe Promenade to pickup my last ham & cheese croissants of the trip

When I got back to my cabin I finished packing and placed my bag in the hallway. It was 1am and mine was the only bag out there.

The good news is my bag did not get lost this time.

To help passengers not get lost while on the ship there is a lot of signage around to assist.

In the elevator lobbies this sign will help you locate different venues around the ship. The curved end will always point you to the front of the ship. This sign will also tell you which coloured quarter you are in. In this case we are in Yellow which means Starboard aft elevator lobby.

This sign, still in the elevator lobby, closer to the cabins will tell you which way to turn to find your cabin

Down the cabin hallways you'll find this sign. The nose of the ship is always pointing forward. There is a little arrow on the left side of this sign which points forward. Also, You can see the background of the 11 is green as is the circle around the outside of the sign

Each cabin door sign also has the coloured outline and the arrow pointing towards the front of the ship

In the entertainment areas of the ship these signs will help you find what is on that deck. Again, the ship faces forward.

For our sailing we will be stopping in Falmouth for Patties. Is yours? Perhaps you want to change your dates. :p

Our cruise will be Eastern Caribbean cruising to San Juan, St. Maarten & St. Kitts. St. Kitts is a port we've never been to and is one reason we chose this sailing. I can't wait for Oasis & Allure to change their itineraries so I can book them again and go to different islands.

Sounds like a great itinerary. We too have never been to St Kitts. We are meeting with a group of CC members from a previous sailing other wise I would have wanted to do your route.

DAY 5 - ST. MAARTEN

Dinner Dress Suggestion: Casual

Dinner Theme: Basil

Drink of the Day: Caribbean Tea

The weather today was beautiful. I decided to break away from the rest of my group and do an excursion by myself. I chose to do the ATV Tour. This tour was 4 hours from pick up to drop off at the pier and cost $119. At 8:30am I met the group on the pier. We then boarded a bus which took us about 5 minutes to the company with the ATVs. There we had to fill out waivers and get fitted for helmets. Everyone wears a hairnet under the helmet for their own protection. Once we had our helmets on we went outside and picked an ATV. They gave a really brief explanation of how to start, accelerate & brake the machines. It was now time to go. We drove along the side of streets through the Dutch side of the island and over to the French side. Along the way we made 2 stops at lookout points and 1 at Orient Beach. We stayed at Orient beach for 1 hour before getting back on the ATVs and heading back. I really liked this excursion and thought although a high price it was worth it.

Nate, I booked this excursion the last time I was in St. Maarten. However, I booked it on my own and not through Royal. Obviously it costs us less money, but it sounds like it was the same trip!!

My team won the silver medal. This completed my medal tally on this cruise of 1 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze.

We had an appointment at the Next Cruise desk. We booked a 7 night cruise on the Independence for October 25 2015. They gave us $700 obc per cabin. We've since cancelled & re-booked under the Vow to Wow sale. The price was more than $700 less and we have $300 obc per cabin.

Cupcrazy i'm in love with your reviews so nice authentic and explain every details to help others

Can you tell me what camera you use? It takes awesome pictures

Thanks for the nice words! I use a Canon PowerShot ELPH 320 HS. It shoots in full HD. I've had it for a couple years and have been able to some really good shots from it. I would get a DLSR but I don't want to have to carry it around with me.

DISEMBARKATION DAY

Disembarkation was very smooth. We had luggage tags for 9:30am and they were right on time. Our luggage was in the terminal waiting for us and the line for customs was no more than 20 minutes. Once outside the terminal we picked up the shuttle for Hertz and picked up our cars. Once again we stayed (1 night) at Marriott SpringHill Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port before flying home to Toronto.

We woke up and we were back at Port Everglades :(
