Gnomey Posted November 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Very sad all round. As a competitor you always understand the risks, take them and then push the limits further. Sometimes the risk bites back and sometimes it wins. A tough time for Australian sport and cricket in particular. Steve.
NSWP Posted November 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2014 Yes a tragic loss, thoughts and prayers to family and friends. A life lost too soon, so much potential Phil had. RIP.

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted November 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) RIP Phil Hughes. Bats at front door. Son had a minutes silence before the game today, all the players were supplied with a mini photo of Phillip to put on their bats and they all wore black armbands. Phil's death has hit the cricket community hard. Edited November 29, 2014 by aussielozzie18
gaechann Posted November 29, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted November 29, 2014 Qantas has arranged 2 extra 737 flights here next Wednesday for his funeral in Macksville about 40 mins south of here. All cricket celebrities will be flying in to honour our local hero. He loved his cricket but he loved his family life on the farm where he had established an Angus beef cattle stud. Gone too soon. It's so tragic! Gae Sent from my iPhone using Forums
