RIP Philip Hughes

Very sad all round. As a competitor you always understand the risks, take them and then push the limits further. Sometimes the risk bites back and sometimes it wins. A tough time for Australian sport and cricket in particular.

RIP Phil Hughes. Bats at front door. Son had a minutes silence before the game today, all the players were supplied with a mini photo of Phillip to put on their bats and they all wore black armbands. Phil's death has hit the cricket community hard.

Qantas has arranged 2 extra 737 flights here next Wednesday for his funeral in Macksville about 40 mins south of here.

All cricket celebrities will be flying in to honour our local hero. He loved his cricket but he loved his family life on the farm where he had established an Angus beef cattle stud.

Gone too soon. It's so tragic!
