Legal drinking age in Mexico.....

I believe the legal drinking age in Cozumel and Grand Cayman is 18. Does this mean that an 18 year old would be able to consume alcoholic beverages while on land in those islands? I know he wouldn't be able to while on the ship, but I didn't know about while on land. Thanks.

Our 18year old DD had her first "Legal" drink on Cozumel at the pool bar at Chakanab (sp).

She was so upset that they did not even "card" her.

It was a Pina Colada, and she took more pictures of it and with it, than drinking it.

Later she tells me she likes "beer" more

Cause thats what shes been drinking in college:eek:

Yeah I was in college once too:D

Of all the crazy things I've read on the internet. Sheesh. Don't listen to these people. The bar owners in Mexico are respectible business men and women. They absolutely won't serve anyone tall enough to see over the bar. You have to be tall enough to see over the bar, and have money. And seeing over the bar in many cases is optional.
